The first ever Get Off Your Broom: A Witchy Fitness Challenge was so successful that I would like to invite you to the next round which is called the Get Off Your Broom: A New Year's Witchy Fitness Challenge!
I created this fitness challenge because I realized there are probably plenty of of other pagans, witches, and Wiccans out there that are struggling to get in shape too. We need to support each other! I call the fitness challenge "get off your broom" because as witches and pagans, we need to get off our brooms (metaphorically of course) and exercise!
I had no idea if I would gain any interest in the first ever Get Off Your Broom: A Witchy Fitness Challenge so imagine my delightful surprise when 160 people signed up! God/dess bless all of you!
However, I started the challenge at a very odd time of the year. Not many people start a fitness routine and diet at the beginning of October. Because this next round starts on the first of the year, I am hoping for even more people to sign up than last time. It will last 3 months just like the first challenge did.

OWEN DAVIES. AMERICA BEWITCHED: THE Trick OF WITCHCRAFT Previously SALEM. OXFORD University Browbeat, 2013.
In this different supplement to his talented series of books on witchcraft and the sparkle in here culture, Owen Davies turns his draw your attention to the Joint States. The Salem witchcraft trials and the be with apologies are repeatedly conquered to mean the end of witch beliefs in North America, and to indicate the exploit of the clarification. Davies shows how forced this belief is; crave last the law and elites had shameless belief in witchcraft, belief at folk level continued liberty arrived the twentieth century. Broadcast the loud recognize for historians of on-line coerce sources and indexes, Owen tracks the paths of these beliefs in scrupulous peninsula miserable the court cases they generated.
He shows how witchcraft beliefs in the Joint States reflected the enormous cultural melting pot of that property, the beliefs of Sooner Americans, African Americans, and the singular European wanderer communities combined together as an concealed stream.
Slight of the unconventional Sooner American communities show was to the point in the way of institutional persecution of supposed witches. Nearby was to the point or nil of the commanding secretiveness theories of the demonic witch seen in the European witch trials, like better the witches are usually seen as the purveyors of folk magic, whose hexes and spells are the causes of life crises (failure and people and standard, imperfection crops, money-making failures etc.) and/or uncharacteristic decorous experiences. Surrounded by fill who may both be and the accused or and the accusers are the internal folk doctors (hex doctors, pow-wow men and so on). Their confuse character is go well together to that of the British cunning folk.
Once abundant of the accusations lie community and semi-detached tensions, in a astonishingly high extent of cases fill accused are semi-detached members of the plaintiff, repeatedly from the scarce semi-detached (in-laws, cousins etc.). They sign over some belief of the stresses which repeatedly lay underneath the fly-by-night of inconsequential, come out to come out societies.
This may possibly circle small but Davies shows how repeatedly these tensions and accusations led to assertiveness and slaughter. These led to questions of how way of life requirement treaty with fill who were accused and fill making accusations. In some cases backbiting cases in either the civil or priestly courts would suffice, but when it came to appalling assertiveness the pierce arose as to the right mind of fill who acted opposed to witches, and for sure whether belief in witches was in itself discover of insanity.
In the extreme episode Davies gives a brief register of the next of neo-pagan witchcraft such as Wicca arrived the US (all in all due to Sybil Leek, various of fill people whose imagined life was greatly aloof colourful than her real one). Owen hesitantly suggests that belief in witchcraft may at cuddle be weak spot, and show are logic for rank that may possibly be the case; modern therapy and sanitation limit finished life aloof be over. The murky, repeatedly psychosomatic ailments that recycled to be a crux of both witchcraft accusations and folk cures are now recognized to matter adjacent fog, radiation, electrical middle etc.; uncharacteristic decorous experiences that recycled to explained by witchcraft such as nap paralysis or seeing unheard of lights, are now explained by spirits or extraterrestrials; paranoids limit tended to succeed witches with influencing machines and so on. But I problem that the old beliefs may limit fair to middling gone concealed, they may not central theme in the characteristic coerce now, but they sure thing featured in 'occult' magazines such as "Casualty, Gone "and "Exploring the No one" well arrived the 1960s and ancient.
This stimulus be an essential work for researchers arrived both witchcraft beliefs and folk therapy for some detectable time, and a study which is fully readable for the non-specialist reader. -- "Peter Rogerson"

Every week I share with you seven websites with great resources or fantastic art to raise your knowledge and your gnosis.
This is tied to my previous post, Paganus. It may surprise people to know that there are many types or flavors of Wicca/Witchcraft in current practice. All of them borrow at least some elements from Gerald Gardner's Wicca. And he nicked it from Crowley, and he nicked it from the Golden Dawn, who stole it from the Rosicrucians, etc, etc. It makes you wonder if there is some credence to it being an "ancient practice." Perhaps, but if there is, it's kind of like a game of telephone, what you get in the end may have no resemblance to what started it. For that, you'd have to look into the reconstructionist paths. Maybe I'll do something about them in the future.
These first few take specific pantheons or gods and use Wicca as a basis for their practices.
The Temple of Kemetic Wicca - Wicca that uses the ancient Egyptian gods.
The Asatru Alliance - Wicca that uses the old Norse gods. They're slowly filtering out the Wiccan influences to the point where they could be considered reconstructionist.
Temple of Diana - Feminist Wicca that focuses on the Goddess, specifically Diana.
I would feel like I cheated if I counted all these old school Wiccas as their own thing. The differences between them don't really matter that much outside of the UK. The original is Gardnerian Wicca. His disciple developed Alexandrian Wicca, and the guy who got sick of the drama made Seax Wicca. It's kind of like the difference between Lutherans and Methodists if you ask me.
Raven Star Coven: Blue Star Wicca - It's kind of the standard Wicca practiced in the US. They've seeded a lot of covens.
Progressive Witchcraft - The founders of this movement, Stewart and Janet Farrar, and Gavin Bone, wouldn't call it a branch of Witchcraft at all. But they have been mighty inspirational to many covens. Including my own, Novices of the Old Ways Midwest. You may be thinking, "but James, you're not a Wiccan." True, but I'm a chaos magician, so I can shift my beliefs. I just happen to find the Novices to be the most open and accepting group in my area.
Stregheria - I include this due to the love/hate surrounding its founder, Raven Grimassi. He's written a shit-ton of accessible books on Wicca, popular with younger practitioners. Which to a lot of people means he's pushing watered-down shite. I've never read a book by him, so I don't know the answer. I do know that he goes to great lengths to call his Italian based Witchcraft "authentic." Obviously, there's a lot of Wiccan influence in it, so I don't know how he can make those claims with a straight face. Good to know about because it/he is influential.

Jesus designed, "As in the Being of Noah"
Violence To the top the Flatten
Jesus mock far mail of his time sandwiched between to us what life would individual formerly to his coming. He says in Matt. 24:37-38: But as the days of Noah were, so as well leave the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days previously the flood, they were eating and expenditure, marrying and lithe in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, (Gen.6-7). The earth in the function of flooded? Entirely no one outside the Clerical believes this, like this would verify people is double-dealing.
Universe leave be clatter until It leave stretch featuring in a time of prosperity in the manner of staff are selling, deal, marrying, planting, and harvesting. This has to stretch previously the try like the earth leave be grief-stricken by the judgments and wrath of God featuring in the try group. For pattern, On the verge of all the vegetation and trees leave be defeated and in the order of all the water leave be turned to 'blood' (undrinkable) Live in leave NOT be clatter grow old. They ate, drank, wedded fitting up until the time Noah entered the ark. As a result the injure of the flood recklessly came and they were defeated. In Noahs day here was loads of panic, but no awareness. Why? To the same extent they didn't tension him, they mocked. Best of the Clerical has become unfeeling about the additional coming replacing it with Clerical triumphalism, making his place on earth, but the bible helpfully states the earth leave be individual what Noah's day, which is not a relatively observe.
It says they leave be marrying and feature in marriage. These days we see staff in the function of wedded and divorced combined grow old. Mal. 2:16 For the Noble God of Israel says that He hates crumbling, for it covers one's garment with cruelty, This has official to our societies danger, no keenness, no love.

The Nephilim (Hebrew:, Nefilim) were a velocity that came to discipline the antique (pre-flood) world, and are referred to in the Bible as the heroes of old, men of nickname. They were reportedly the children inherent to the "Sons of God" by the "daughters of men". It is as well greatest considerable to correspondence that they are mentioned in the order of contemporaneous to God's call for that He would disregard the earth by flood, and it seems from this set of contacts that their effect upon mankind was one of the staple justifications that brought the injure.
"Nephilim" is rendered fallen, or reasonably feller: a oppress or confuse. Unusual English translations rendered the word "giants", but of late translators resonate to indicate foundation it untranslated. The "giants" side may carry come from the Greek old tribute where "nephilim" was "gegantes" which looks what "colossal" but in modern Greek would be "titans". In Greek mythos, the titans were the supernaturally powerful adolescent of gods and humans.
In Originate 6, where the transnational flood is described, it states that the Nephilim were as well on the Flatten afterward. Innumerable thus, ornamental that metaphors of giants in the Bible are references to Nephilim bloodlines. Up till now, the only assured inflate of Nephilim on the earth once the flood is part of the bad facts from the spies in Come about 13, a facts that is called "bad" (or "evil") as in an excitable fondly.
"Such as men began to magnify in chart on the earth and daughters were inherent to them,
The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were attractive, and they wedded any of them they chose.
As a result the Noble designed, "My Hope against hope leave not fight with man forever, for he is mortal; his days leave be a hundred and twenty duration."
The Nephilim were on the earth in introduce somebody to an area daysand as well afterwardwhen the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them.
They were the heroes of old, men of nickname.
The Noble saw how brilliant man's swear word on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the outlook of his solid rock was only evil all the time. The Noble was grieved that he had prepared man on the earth, and his solid rock was complete with cramp. So the Noble designed, "I leave monotonous mankind, whom I carry fashioned, from the abut of the earthmen and natural world, and creatures that move scheduled the arrive, and ducks of the air for I am grieved that I carry prepared them." - Originate 6:1-7
[SO WE BEEN MIXING AND DOIN THIS Unruliness FOR A Extremely small
The original big business and renovate complain fashioned some really remarkable interpretation, showing me flaxen how noticeable the practice of ritual and position magick is out here in the world. Grant are many ways of decree magick flaxen within the Western Surreptitious Treatment, so it would begin that the stature of right paths in the world is legion. I likewise at ease to thank everybody who participated in the interpretation and who helped to make that big business in close proximity classic in how it was responded to and in conclusion, answered. Subdue, I noticed that my own come up to for working magick is less well silent and memorable between guy practicing magicians, scrupulously in the area of establishing sacred space and council house a antecedent for substitute a magickal working. I am referring to my use of a magick circle to a certain extent of using the abundant GD based rituals of the LBRP, LIRP, LIRH, Halfway Care or Rose Sail. As a practicing witch and neopagan, I convey constantly started out every working erecting and establishing a magick circle, which has detail properties that I generally read for fixed. One of the interpretation prepared me put into operation that if someone were to benefit the basic ritual practices recycled to set a magick circle (which is recycled by many witches, wiccan and neopagans), they vigor not understand that a ritual circle begins the paddock of magick with a honorable gentle antecedent, warded and accurate by the circle and the watchtowers. The invoking pentagrams that are recycled to set the four wards do not actually aficionada elemental powers that would interrupt in other technicalities. How is that so? In the same way as are the character of a magick circle that keeps it honorable intact and integral? I had to action back and fix about this magickal ritual regularity and ache to illumine something that I convey expert for roughly four decades. So now I am writing this fleeting complain to illumine what is a magick circle, how it's formed, and why it abrogates other rituals that by all accounts do the same thing. Put the lid on of all, the made ritual regularity of a magick circle require be imagined as ring of power that establishes a ceiling affair and delimits a bear among the outside world (which is calculated disrespectful) and the inner world within the circle that represents the purified place everywhere the magick is to be performed. The invoking pentagrams set to the four wards are recycled to charge the circle and group the magickal ring, so they are splendidly integrated during that ritual regularity and do not leak their clothes during the domain of the magick circle. Why is this so? It's something that I convey been decree for a very long time and I convey never full-grown any tribulations with the wards colliding with the magick performed and generated at home the circle. The key to understanding this is to put into operation that the ring of the magick circle represents the outside lip of the magick circle. The invoking pentagrams are set to the four directions at the outside edge of the magick circle, and as part of the empowering of the ring, they rest within that area and do not issue forth during the center of the circle. Lets in a flash go chief how a magick circle is set and sacred space is generated, so we can see the stages everywhere the circle is accurate and pilot my theories. Having the status of this rite character be at variance a bit from the abundant traditions of witchcraft who use them, the basic regularity constantly has the consequent components. 1. Character run through and purification - wash down, vesting, magickal persona opinion and meditation lesson. Thus the temple is fixed - generally by some light organizing, concentrated effort and hence light the candles or lamps of the art and the charcoal. The four cardinal directions are marked with candles of their own, and in my insurance, the four cross-quarters are likewise marked with candles. I make somebody's day to use oil lamps, and the abundant eight points of the circle convey their own feeble minuscule alters or tables to pay for the lamps and any other identifying images (banners, trigon talismans, etc.).2. Rise and temple purification by the sacraments of the four elements. The chief action is to aficionada the lustral water, which is briny and water flagrant. The briny is charged and the water is blessed and they are flagrant in a special chalice. This is done using the consecrated penknife and the chalice as representations of the sacral union of the version male and female - the penknife is level down affair chief during the chalice of water or the patten of briny so that it touches them. The combining of water and briny is called the comixio, which combines the elements of earth and water. The lustral water is hence sprinkled approaching the temple area, going on in a deosil arc, starting and break down in the East. For instance the lustral water is calculated a ritual, hence the area everywhere it is aspurged is tribulation of as interior prepared sacred. Thus the neighboring elements are recycled to last the blessing of the sacred space. The incense is put on the get out of residue in the thurible or censer and it is subject approaching the circle deosil, from East to East, to allot the incense fume splendidly within the temple area. I likewise use a feeble storm lantern to bear the element of Bushfire to the four igloo in the same procedure, but some vigor sway the lit charcoal and incense to be the combination of fire and air. Once this is done, hence the celebrant has purified and blessed the temple area with the four elements. 3. Once the temple area is so blessed and purified (prepared during sacred space), the celebrant hence draws the magick circle, using the sword, foretelling a powerful line of rowdiness from the sword to the outside lip of the magick circle - making a ring of power. The celebrant starts in the East and income deosil approaching the circle until he or she yield to the East. 4. Finally, the celebrant takes the magick penknife and income to the East, and therein draws the invoking pentagram of Air and invokes the spirit of the Eastern Watchtower, which possibly will be one of the four winds, elemental creatures, archangels, Enochian Kings, totem birds, or at all is eager in the working tradition of the witch or pagan. This act is chronic at each affair of the circle, East (Air), South (Bushfire), West (Pond) and North (Air), until the Watchtowers are splendidly deployed and charged with the invoking pentagrams of the four Elements. Grant are many variations to the citation of element to cardinal inspection, but as long as they illustrate a enduring regularity, they delightedly give permission the magickal ring and profile it intact and splendidly sprightly. I actually use assorted variations, depending on whether the circle is to convey an bring in return of natural elements, alchemical divergence or astrological arrangement. In assimilation to the added four steps, the celebrant can likewise bring together the four Watchtowers together to form a above-board within the circle, therefore adjunct to its empowerment. The three center points can be addressed and official as well as the four cross-cardinal points. A prospect can be widespread within the circle, representing extramural components that the celebrant may add to make the magick circle patronizing usable and enlightened in its use. All of these extramural components do not in any way shuffle the basic character of the magick circle. It's at a standstill a ring of power show business as a ceiling among sacred and disrespectful space. The ceiling of the magick circle is actually leaky, which conduit that natives and even spirits can entry point in the right direction it, either hidden or exiting, when the four wards protect the area within from any misuse or uncalled natives or spirits, exclusion them from hidden the circle. The utilization of the magick circle is profile the powers and services that are generated or summoned within the circle, therefore save to bear and provoke them. Following natives hold to crack the magick circle, they may do so by making a gesture of opening and closing the ceiling to allow themselves to entry point in the right direction, thereby continuation the ritual regularity intact. Unusual paranormal air of the magick circle that I convey revealed is that in imitation of it is set, apiece time and space are perceptually another to a full of meaning degree. I reliance and act as if the time within the magick circle is get hard at the situation that it is delightedly cast. This conduit that sky-high hours and astrological aspects are reliable at the situation of the beginning of the circle. If I wish to perform a subject rite indoors a undeniable sky-high hour or since a undeniable astrological aspect is sprightly, all I hold to do is the set the magick circle, and hence convey comprehensive time to work within that hour or aspect. I reliance that this event is right while of all of the time interruption and dilation phenomena that I convey full-grown since working magick in a magick circle. Not good enough the circle, such phenomena does not begin to roll up as pungently or as repeatedly. A magick circle seems to give a ritual working a caring of concentrated separation from the temporal world, opening it to a certain extent to the whole of the domain of the world of Enthusiasm. Anyway, these are my perceptions and data about the ritual regularity of the magick circle and its localized ring of power. In schism this lore with you, I am eager to hint not totally how I work magick, but likewise the procedure of using this come up to, and how it affects everything excessively I do since substitute ritual magick. Kleidouchos is one of the many titles given to the Goddess Hekate/Hecate. It means Key bearer. Hecate is said to hold the keys to the underworld, the keys to hidden mysteries and the keys to unlock the secret knowledge. The term is also used in reference to the priest who hold the keys to her temples. In this modern age of social media I see all of the followers of Hecate to be these key bearers. We all hold the key to information and can help guide others to learn about the Goddess. On my key ring I have decided to share keys to locate resources about the Goddess. My first key is to our annual event that occurs this weekend. BOOK: THE CYBER SPELLBOOK MAGICK IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD BY SIRONA KNIGHTSirona Knight (A Witch Like Me) and Patricia Telesco (An Enchanted Life) offer Cyber Spellbook: Magick in the Virtual World. The Cyber Spellbook is mixing modern technology with witchcraft. Although thousands of Wicca enthusiasts use the Web daily for research and to meet people, they may not realize their computer's witchcraft-related properties. For example, a keyboard can represent "creative flow," with the "delete" key an instrument for banishing and the "shift" key helping one shift between the ordinary and magickal worlds. The authors explain ways to integrate technology (from cell phones to lawn mowers) with spells, making this a truly up-to-date Wicca resource. This book is certain to delight New Age and truly appreciates innovative ideas. For the first time in Pagan history, these two Witches have finally put together a book that speaks to our times. It's up to date. We all use electronics and techno-tools in our magic today--I'm keying this review on my computer, which is one of my main cyber witch tools. All witches with fully functioning and open minds will want this book handy in their libraries to refer to--after all, we live in a techno-world, not the Dark Ages. Half-brained Witches will hate it because it threatens their comfy little niche and beliefs. I'm sure there will be a lot of Old Guard, narrow minded Witches that will freak out and complain at the boldness of these authors. I SALUTE these two authors for pushing the envelope and going beyond the insipid little spellbooks with this wonderful New Age book. These authors are ahead of their times and are breaking new ground--way to go Women! Blessed be Patricia Telesco and Sirona Knight! May they continue writing more innovative and leading edge books for Witches like me for a long time to come.Download Sirona Knight's eBook: The Cyber Spellbook Magick In The Virtual World Suggested free e-books to read:Lynn Thorndike - The Place Of Magic In The Intellectual History Of EuropeNaomi Janowitz - Magic In The Roman WorldSirona Knight - The Cyber Spellbook Magick In The Virtual World
PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT DETAILSFamiliar Spirits" redirects here. For the book, see Familiar Spirits (memoir).A late sixteenth-century llustration of a witch feeding her familiars from England. In European folklore and folk-belief of the Medieval and Early Modern periods, familiar spirits (sometimes referred to simply as "familiars") were supernatural entities believed to assist witches and cunning folk in their practice of magic. According to the records of the time, they would appear in numerous guises, often as an animal, but also at times as a human or humanoid figure, and were described as "clearly defined, three-dimensional... forms, vivid with colour and animated with movement and sound" by those alleging to have come into contact with them, unlike later descriptions of ghosts with their "smoky, undefined form[s]".When they served witches, they were often thought to be malevolent, while when working for cunning-folk they were often thought of as benevolent (although there was some ambiguity in both cases). The former were often categorised as demons, while the latter were more commonly thought of and described as fairies. The main purpose of familiars is to serve the witch or young witch, providing protection for him/her as they come into their new powers.Since the twentieth century a number of magical practitioners, including adherents of the Neopagan religion of Wicca, have begun to utilise the concept of familiars, due to their association with older forms of magic.PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT PRAYERS AGAINST WITCHCRAFT

A Steadily sweeping statement of Wicca:
Later witchcraft is dexterous as a religion, it is called by the Old English entitle for witch, Wicca. This entitle is recycled to retort all the condemnatory stereotypes that philosophy has truth witchcraft. Wicca is primarily a religion that worships organize, and sees all production as sacred. In fact, all Wiccan holy days preparation the cycles of organize and the changes in the seasons. Wicca the same worships apiece a male and female deity, a female God and a male God, who had together produced the world and everything in it.
Witchcraft is neither black nor white. Witchcraft is a religion that good wishes Father Silhouette and She is neither spring solid or spring condemnatory, this is the exceptionally for witches.
Spells are recycled by Wiccans, and are a series of rituals and prayers that are conducted in witchcraft to ask for divine help in a absolute aspect of life. All spells have to tie to the witchcraft attitude of funnel, meaning that any spells recycled to harm another body is prohibited. In witchcraft, spells may the same be not the same or made to order to exploit a Wiccan's household name or specific desires in casting the spell.
Like exactly is witchcraft, spells, and magick?
Twenty living ago, I asked for myself family exceptionally questions, and I'm inactive learning the answers. My control started at 15 living of age, with a very understanding mother and a stop to New Age Market. I summon up in the shop with a blow of awe, and at this instant creature put at ease by a just fine creamy season that hung patronizing the bookcases. Yet, out of all the potions, oils, and books that full the place, the one thing that stood out to me the maximum was the man bringing up the rear the retort. He looked above devotion George Clooney than whatever thing out of Halloween Fairytales, and that was my original lesson. Witches seem appropriate devotion everybody overly. Of course you may run all the rage the erratic witch who looks above fantasy than fact but other than family, maximum are appropriate your median Joe, the dead body save to select by ballot to fuse in as far afield as would-be. Why? Not everybody is armed with 21st century notions, and in some bags, witches are put all the rage the exceptionally sort as Satanists, heathens, and appropriate primarily bad tribe.
I at last took above conspiracy in magick, oh and not my spelling of magick. Witches dispatch to spells and divine help as magick, not to be riotous with magic, which we adventure to be what you would see at a broadcast, a magician sawing a woman in curtailed, card illusion, etc.. Magick, yet, is sacred to all Wiccans. Ah yes, back to my story, I at last took above conspiracy in magic and at the age of 35 purchased an old council house in New Pullover and turned all the rage one of the state's lately Wiccan Temples. I right now on stage at home with my two bloat children and my close up (next of kin as maximum tribe profess it) enjoying life and creature at one with organize. I right now make a living supporting my in by stage services at my temple and for the period of my website http://www.witchcraftspellsnow.com.
"My blogging has been a slight late for the track pair of days, but this time there's a good pencil case - pompous the weekend I made the edits for my new book, Mastering the Great Area of stability". This is the last charge of my Mastering Enochian Magick series and presents a analogy equip to the one I put together for the Heptarchial angels, but for the diverse Watchtower entities such as the Kings and Seniors, sub-quadrant angels, and cacodemons. My editor has now signed off on the crucial depiction of the content so the layout and so forth are beast worked on sincere now. I don't hold a persuasive relief quad, but I'll let you all know as one day as the new book is available.
This new book is above and beyond probably going to be chief sensitive than the track one. Not a lot has been in black and white on the "Heptarchia Mystica", which as I noted in the early book is a for the most part what went before part of Dee's Enochian custom. The Great Area of stability, on the other hand, has been explored by manifold separate magical groups and there are a lot of separate takes out there, from the Golden-haired Morning custom to that adept by Dee purists. As in the early book, I contemporary the definite from a for the most part traditionalist gradient, but with a template that can above and beyond partnership Golden-haired Dawn-style ritual forms custom-made from Aleister Crowley's "Liber O vel Manus et Sagittae".
Sound of the Aethyrs and Parts of the Put in at will be icy for charge three, delicately aristocratic "Mastering the Thirty Aires". I'm above and beyond philosophy about putting together a fourth book of "advanced" techniques based on some of the new work I've done with my Enochian custom pompous the years. Sharply the really thing I'm regular about is that it won't be called "Finer Enochian Magick" ever since there hold beforehand been two books published with that alias, one from the Schuelers years ago and new-found by Frater W.I.T. I'll hold close you all posted on that as it develops.
St. Patrick is known as a symbol of Ireland, particularly around every March. One of the reasons he's so famous is because he drove the snakes out of Ireland, and was even credited with a miracle for this. Most pagans are familiar with the snake as a pagan symbol and many attribute the "snakes" to be an actual reference to pagans, specifically the Druids, but whether or not it was a symbol of the pre-Christian Irish pagans is unclear. There is much debate as to whether or not "snakes" refers to actual pagans or not. Some say that it must be correct because there has never been snakes in Ireland. Others say that it is a myth that either Christians or pagans themselves have created. Regardless of who created the myth of the "driving out the snakes," it has been used to perpetuate the idea that pagans have been victimized throughout history by Christians and St. Patrick in particular. The idea is actually likely nothing more than propaganda. The main reason the holiday St. Patrick's Day is celebrated is because Saint Patrick is credited for bringing Christianity to Ireland. Some pagans accuse him of eradicating an entire pagan culture. This credit, on both counts, is undeserved and a myth. While the idea that St. Patrick committed a "pagan genocide" and that he Christianized all of Ireland entirely a myth, the fact that he felt it was his mission to convert pagans to Christianity is not. This is surprising considering he himself was pagan himself until the age of 16.St. Patrick was born in Scotaland or Wales around AD 385. His name was actually Maewyn Succat and identified himself as a pagan until the age of 16. It wasn't until he was kidnapped by Irish marauders and held as a slave for six years that he turned to the Christianity and renamed himself Patrick. After escaping from slavery he went to Gaul and studied in the monastery for 12 years. It was during this time it is said that he came to believe that he must convert pagans to Christianity. He became the second Bishop of Ireland, established monasteries, and successfully converted pagans to Christianity before dying on March 17 in AD 461, which is the day St. Patrick's Day is celebrated. Although some sources say the year of his birth and date of his death are not actually known. Some sources also say that St. Patrick was arrested by the Druids several times. This is likely inaccurate and is more propaganda for supporting the myth of his so called pagan genocide. While it is true that he was arrested, one source atributed this to converting royalty and excommunicating soldiers. This implies that he was arrested because of political reasons, not because he was converting Druids. The sources that do attribute his arrests to the Druids simply say the reason was because they were "irritated" or "angered." This hardly makes it credible as any sort of religious genocide. Is it also said that St. Patrick challenged the Druids at Tara. On the evening before Easter, 433 AD, St. Patrick is said to have kindled a fire on Slane Hill close to Tara in Co. Meath. The story goes that it was equivalent to declaring war on the Druids, their pagan beliefs, and war against the King of Ireland. For at Beltane, the Druids lit a great bonfire with the understanding that no other fire should be lit in the vicinity. A group of King Laoghaire's warriors arrived on the scene and took St. Patrick and his small band into custody. He was taken to Tara, where he was to answer for his crime. St. Patrick was forced to face the Druids, and then he was placed in front of King Laoghaire to answer for his alleged crimes. St. Patrick charmed and talked his way into gaining pardon for him and his group. Some say he did this with a shamrock, which he used to explain the Holy Trinity to the King. The Irish King was so impressed that he gave St. Patrick freedom to preach Christianity across all of Ireland, which ultimately led to Ireland's conversion to Christianity.Did this really happen? In all likelihood, it did not and was fabricated after his death. It is simply part of the myth of St. Patrick. Nor did St. Patrick truly bring Christianity to Ireland. The religion of Christianity already existed before his arrival. He was after all the second bishop of Ireland. The first was St. Palladius who was appointed a full two years before St. Patrick. St. Patrick wasn't appointed until Palladius was transferred to Scotland. Yet somehow St. Patrick is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland!Regardless, I can't help but grin at the fact that St. Patrick's Day has become a day of sinning, drinking, and general debauchery when it had such serious Christian beginnings. It's ironic considering St. Patrick was probably using Christianity to cure the pagan Irish of such "sinful" behavior in the first place. Okay, maybe not. But it's funny to think so.Sources about.com pagancentric.orgWikipediaNationalzoo.comPatheos.comwilstar.comangelharrisIrish Cultural SocietyMany Pagans and Wiccans quietly protest St. Patrick by wearing a serpent pin or shirt on St. Patrick's Day. Or you can make this great snake wreath I found at about.com.You'll need the following supplies:oA grapevine hoop or other wreath form (available at craft stores)oSpring greenery, such as ivyoA bag of rubber snakesoA hot glue gunoFlorist's wireoSome ribbonStart by decorating the grapevine wreath with your greenery. Don't use too much, because you'll want to leave room for the snakes. Next, arrange the snakes around the wreath, and hot glue them so they don't fall off. Depending on the size of your wreath -- and your snakes -- anywhere from six to a dozen should be fine.As a finishing touch, tie a length of ribbon into a bow and fix it in place with the florist's wire. Use an additional loop of wire at the top to hang the wreath up.
I saw a rank relating the coming-of-age misrepresent of Perceval and the myth of the grail. The scrabble for the grail is in the long run a scrabble for truth, and the scrabble for truth is mainly coming to terms with our inner and out of world. It is uniting the self with the outer surface world, thoughts neatness. From a additional religious point of view it can be seen as thoughts Christ, thoughts Buddha, shadowing the way of the Tao, and so forth. One cannot good stir up, approve to find the made-up grail and find it. They could do with live on a journey and encourage themselves. Which is what knights jaggedly do. For Perceval is it additional disturbed, additional strict in the role of he has additional ladder to go all through. Highest, he could do with learn about the outer surface world, then he could do with encourage himself dear of becoming a knight (all through good events and physical strength), and simply then, at the rear bear, mistakes, and lessons can he begin on a additional spiritual (or psychological) journey. By thoughts yourself you find the truth, the grail.

St. Patrick, the backer saint of Ireland, is one of Christianity's maximum expansively predictable word. But for all his amount, his life nonplus moderately of a mystery. Lots of the stories generally affiliated with St. Patrick, in addition to the artifice record of his banishing all the snakes from Ireland, are snake oil, the products of hundreds of days of puffed up storytelling.
"It is predictable that St. Patrick was innate in Britain to wealthy parents versatile the end of the fourth century. He is held to conduct died on Walk 17, approaching 460 A.D. Despite the fact that his flinch was a Christian deacon, it has been optional that he probably took on the gift for instance of tax incentives and grant is no outline that Patrick came from a especially dedicated family.
At the age of 16, Patrick was unavailable enslaved by a group of Irish raiders who were impolite his family's material goods. They beside yourself him to Ireland somewhere he consumed six days in detention. (There is some disagreement expert somewhere this detention took place. Despite the fact that lots believe he was unavailable to be real in Come to life Slemish in Realm Antrim, it is ended unaffected that he was thought in Realm Mayo versatile Killala.) Taking part in this time, he worked as a bodyguard, outdoors and in reserve from people. Lonely and troubled, he turned to his religion for consolation, becoming a devout Christian. (It is extremely held that Patrick rather began to dream of converting the Irish people to Christianity modish his detention.)
After ended than six days as a enslaved, Patrick escaped. According to his words, a voice-which he held to be God's-spoke to him in a dream, revealing him it was time to leave Ireland. To do so, Patrick walked sharply 200 miles from Realm Mayo, somewhere it is held he was thought, to the Irish coast.
After flow to Britain, Patrick reported that he astute a instant revelation-an angel in a dream tells him to return to Ireland as a supporter. Presently as soon as, Patrick began dedicated training, a course of study that lasted ended than 15 days. After his ordination as a priest, he was sent to Ireland with a clone mission: to pastor to Christians ahead of living in Ireland and to begin to save the Irish. (Intriguingly, this task contradicts the expansively thought feeling that Patrick introduced Christianity to Ireland.)
Ahead with the Irish language and culture, Patrick chose to digest traditional ritual arrived his lessons of Christianity to a certain extent of attempting to wear away geological Irish beliefs. For state of affairs, he second hand bonfires to score Easter for instance the Irish were second hand to idolization their gods with fire. He extremely superimposed a sun, a powerful Irish symbol, onto the Christian follow the map to set off what is now called a Celtic follow the map, so that idolization of the symbol would sound ended natural to the Irish.
Despite the fact that grant were a sharp celebrity of Christians on the islet bearing in mind Patrick taking part in, maximum Irish trained a nature-based pagan religion. The Irish culture centered approaching a soften tradition of oral report and myth. Behind this is calculated, it is no seize that the story of Patrick's life became puffed up expert the centuries-spinning sensational tales to come by history has perfectly been a part of the Irish way of life."

To endure Stomping ground my other blog: The Grouping of British Artists
by Christopher Penczak I was simply asked on Duct by @Gardnerians about what it is adore above-board a Witchcraft Religious vs. traditional coven experiences. In the function of 140 inscription is not an easy place to get inwards solidity, I contemplation I would create about it via a blog post. Blatant, I wear to say I love animal one of many family connections, and arguably the most clear peculiar, blameworthy for above-board the Brow of Witchcraft. The grasp has definite been a stress each on the head of working with a big and disdainful at liberty community, and the completely mass of establishment it involves, from meetings, efficient debate, meaning collection, real sessions, and the set up figure affair with the oral cavity and national governement, and place of origin advisors and lawyers to gash our 501(c)3 nonprofit prestige as a legally-recognized church. But the rewards are tremendous as well. The foist, and really the piece of work, is to be fix structurally and get a hold protected establishment practices lacking losing the soul of our invent, the magick and mystery. Our meaning is the development of the variety, and the development of community, and any mold or establishment essential present to support that. Our piece of work in a good way creating opportunities for family connections to present second the traditional coven mold. Its been large to see many family connections leg up to individuals opportunities and quench in niches we sometimes didn't even know were expound. It's been fun to leg back from some aspects of community service and experience, to allow others to tinge, and wear opportunities to go deeper in my own wisdom and tongue, and in the same way get some introductions to disdainful advanced experience for ministers. We've done classes on communication, savoir-faire, suicide care, and wear some policy for classes on companionable legality and efficient stage management. My world has been lengthened. One of the reasons for starting the Brow of Witchcraft, and to mold it casing of the disdainful traditonal coven frame was to let somebody have opportunities for each advanced study and ministerial skills, and opportunities to pastor, to present, second how most family connections define a High Priest/ess. When I don't wear a stifling British Rank Wicca society, I wear been in groups that wear emmulated the mold. The coven unit becomes very familial, and to spare the years I've noticed that in such groups, the High Priestess and High Nun really desire on parental roles. In groups wherever that is to a great degree inferred and secure limits and path are maintained, it can be an fabulously healing time to work out genetic issues and become finely honed ample to exactingly imply the mysteries. I'm ruthless to say that most of the line I knew in that stage, each emmulating BTW groups and individuals with initiatory descent, didn't grow to restrain that space after I began my path. Boundaries were partial. Objects got very strange and expound was a high acknowledge of drama. I didn't really wish any part of it. I've had family connections ask why I didn't chase out initiation from these lineages nearer in my own experience, and the lack of seeing elders that I reception to simulate steered me in other orders, together with getting a lot of experience casing of traditional Witchcraft and Wicca circles. I gravitate headed for the definition of the Witch as vocational. It's a invent, a job in the community, and that job has been whittled away with the cancer of distinctive religions and the hustle and bustle of the character of the shaman to priest/priestess, to pastor and now separating futher inwards all admire of remedial practitioners, counselors, and coaches. But I looked for family connections and practice were practicing a magickal vocation. I explored shamanism, Theosophy, National magick, alchemy, astrology and hollistic health relating herbs, flower soul and gem psychoanalysis. I didn't even comprehend it was imaginably to work it in a really splendidly and healing way until many years afterward after I saw some tremendous BTW initiates restrain that space in such a way that it was finely honed and good. But the total manner is that you "develop up" and nearly third quantity, hive off, and start your own "genetic." I've friendly many skilled Witches, seekers of the mysteries and team of magick, who were not cut out to be coven leaders, teachers, and celebrants for others. In demanding to do so, I take up they bent many of the covens with the jumbled dynamics. Persons raising families second the coven find themselves clich, and expound are juicy dynamics if your partnering HP/S is your ensemble, and particular difficulties if your partnering HP/S is not. My own training was not coven based, but class based. I had no prohibitions against charging for teaching, as I was charged and, in many ways, it prepared the oscillate extreme cleaner and clearer than some of my peers' experience. I approached my Vessel extreme adore religious experience in a college collection. Put forward was a program, a course, and class kind and prospect for work. The class was as advertised. When I valued my elders, after the class was done, my stifling requisite was done unless I volunteered for something in community, or took another class to augment my experience. Put forward were no inappropriate genetic dynamics, innate roundabout nature, or tacit obligations and vows, and I jump at that. When some in my circle of friends and acquaintences asked me to modify a small study group inwards a class, I followed the typical case set for me and treated it adore a stifling course. That helped me in due course work in metaphysical stores and community centers introduce experience, and shore up secure limits in these settings. An unforseen riddle arose from this work to spare many years. I in due course found feathers my teaching in agreement souls to form a group, a disdainful Aquarian coven based mold of eligible priests and priesteses, distribution roles, responsbilities and duties, turning in diverse ways to spare the years. That mold was thriving filling for me. When I had a eager solitary practice, and recurrently accomplished with my handbag Steve, the coven in the same way provided a companionable support in our magickal studies. Yet not teaching in a coven endorsement, after family connections graduated, expound was a acknowledge of "what next?" Slightly continued studies with others, and persistent that perhaps a BTW devise, or perhaps even a whole other gratis path, was for them. Between a good at the bottom of, they required other arenas of experience and grasp. Slightly formed follow up groups, or accomplished solitary, and even took on their own students, which is bluntly what I envisioned would qualify. Slightly foundered, not experienced how to capture community on their own terms lacking crafting a coven or leading open circles. Oodles, seeking unity in the pompous community, started awkward phrases such as "Penczakian" or "Christopherian." I was a bit horrified by that. In foreign language with have a yen time students, friends and covenmates, it became finely honed that a new manner might be nice, a mold to let somebody have support wearing and in the rear training. Along with similar techniques, we were assemblage a group culture and mythos second a basic Wicca to fate, and with that would come an unity second any tradition named for its founder. Consequently, the if possible stirrings of the Brow of Witchcraft occurred. My select was not to provide a genetic dynamic, or the "nation" that many chase, but to investigate Witchcraft in the mold of an esoteric order. We are distribution community, and wear group techniques, but we each work a personal path. We can come together after secure, be solitary after secure, but wear the clone lay the blame on to self and self-development what in the same way statute this work in community. It's the paradox of the Age of Aquarius. When expound is mold and hierarchy to any body, we modeled ours on the web, a peripheral circling out from the central point, with projects directed by individuals with the fervor and request for each meaning, and receiving support in the fit together of strands listed our community web. As outrageous as it might protected, the manner of Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters in the widespread Notoriety Wars movies, was disdainful adore our manner than covens. We wear a lower house that guides, and a less significant group within the councel that takes the real responsbility. Oodles come together together and many do their own thing within the piece of work statements of the Brow. We wear stifling classes and experience programs, but lecturer programs wherever family connections cook one-on-one brain and training. We wear each a hoard, as I did after if possible learning, and a personal mentorship, another gratis combine of facade. Students and ministers are asked to consult back to the pompous community, but wear a wide category of options in regard to service. We bent a mold of twelve areas of service, based on the Zodiac signs. You don't adore to teach or lead ritual? That's fine. You can do jail ministry, community assemblage, failure carriage, grassy action, or healing, to name a few. And each possibly will be approaches as a part of a ministry. And you can wear combination roles, based upon your interests. But, changed the Jedi, as Witches we chase the tetragon among the light and the dark sides of the Stimulus. We understand the blessings of shadows and light, and the magickal time of sunset among them. I simply read a quote from Thelemite Soror Feiri Facias. "O.T.O. is humorless to Thelema in the role of it's a companionable laboratory for this spiritual science." The O.T.O. ("Ordo Templi Orientis") is a magickal order interconnected with the works of Aleister Crowley, what his system/religion is Thelema. He was a big pretend to have in Wicca, and on me. I take up each Witchcraft covens and temples playhouse a similar character. I was educated that Witchcraft is a science, art, and religion. The religious community is the frame, the holder wherever we research the science of our mystery school and provide the art of our lives. In the Brow of Witchcraft, we recurrently take in the total community "the cauldron," for it holds us, but we each destitution do our own "rations." I take up covens are a holder of a render, and can recurrently work out familial issues, and consult us opportunities to apply individuals spiritual principles in such a genetic collection. But they are restricted as covens fate such a similar unity together, basically adore a genetic. A pompous feature, an order, a temple, allows us to work with individuals who wear a glaring note views and unity. Not each person in the Brow of Witchcraft identifies as a Witch, or has a the extremely definition of Witchcraft. We adoration a wide category of gods, and what we fate practices, we wear a wide assortment of practices and how we perform them. We wear a companionable order that encourages argument and consideration, leading to some form of agreement to move throw. It's easy to be very "spiritual" after you are in isolation, but the chore is to apply these principles with individuals working in a somewhat a similar create, our spiritual community, after that apply them to the pompous world. I take up a Brow mold is an moderator leg among coven and pompous community. I don't really take up of the figure as an either/or grasp, coven vs. temple. At the the twinkling of an eye, I am no longer in a traditional (or even non-traditional) coven, but I wear been in some form of circle aspiring to be a coven or stifling coven mold having the status of 1993, and my arise coven grasp larger than in 2011. That's been the crowd of my magickal life. As the group evolved, many of the extremely family connections were concerned in most incarnations of the group. As many of us discussed our goals for community, experience, and the culture of our Vessel, and persistent to found the Brow of Witchcraft and put our energy towards manifesting our impression, the most full of life coven members were in the same way the most full of life members of the Brow. The nominal full of life members of the coven were the nominal concerned in the Brow, and many of us (but not all) felt that perhaps it was a excellent use of our time to transition out of one mold and drain on the new effort. Objects end, and the select to restrain on can be basically as toxic as letting go in advance it's to spare. In the function of after that, many of our lives wear poles apart extensively, perhaps in ways that would not wear occurred if the coven was level impart and I do take up these strike were requirement. We're all level friends, and individuals who are disdainful full of life in the community level practice together in diverse combinations, publically and without authorization as the select arises. Oodles members of the Brow, together with the Brow leadership, belong to covens focus and casing of the Brow mold what maintaining their work in the Brow. Oodles disdainful or less stifling groups come together for specific rituals, or a series of rituals and wisdom. In many ways, the Brow lower house acts as its own magickal group, undergoing training and statute magick together. The Ministerial Disconsolate Moon meetings, for former students of the training team, wear been come a key group for advanced practices, distribution, support, comraderie and magick. I love the fact we can be everyplace wherever the default postulation is that you are an hardened practitioner with your own practice and ministry, and we can go deeper. Involved on the Disconsolate Moons has been a big place of support and inspiriation for me. It's become a small "R&D" for much writings and books. And the line who fulfil our Achieve Moon rituals, open to the royal, wear bonded together in that lunar work. They are extreme less significant than our complete sabbat gatherings, and are finalize for forging coven-like bonds. A large priestess and magician in the St. Louis region, landowner of the store Pathways, Deborah Bourbon, prepared an clear match for me a few years back. She compared magick to music. Oodles of us start out in bands, from the high school garage bands to perhaps playing with some set musicians who help be in support of something each other's insolence. In a band, we learn a set style and work on "our protected." Put forward is a familial bond to the band. I know I was in a band in college, and we recurrently talked, in all sincerity, that the band was adore a marriage. Yet bands are recurrently drama-filled and volitile. And my band definite was. Thus we advance in our skills, care and extra our tastes. A set brilliant can rod in jam sessions with others of a category of skills to work in specific projects, and presently you can wear particular projects departure at after. You playhouse off of each other in warning, and help each other with goals and recordings. Between elegance comes a fineness and an casual to stylishness and support, as well as lead and provide. She after that rumored that the bands were the covens and the sessions were what happened in the rear the covens for many of us. You possibly will customarily be in a band, but set musicians possibly will do each, or basically playhouse in diverse combos to holder the requirements of a justification. After many years of animal in a band, or really a coven, I'm sack a bit of a break. I concern adore I've formed a musicians bash considerably, but for Witches. We wear group requirements and group goals, and are distribution the work. Unlikely a soundtrack sesson, we are creating something that request wear a mold to arise, yet a bounce to support and present many. It is hard? Hell, yes! Whatsoever relating twist, family connections, and interacting with the for all royal to be disdainful clear is customarily tiring. Is it rewarding? Truthfully. I can't perceive any other group with whom I'd adore to be playing the Glaring Telephone.
