The Newest Year has begun...
may Lord Ganesha remove all unneeded obstacles
may Prince Elegba run before to confound and dumbfound
all unneeded opposition
may clarion Mercury convey the swift insight of Heaven
may Demeter, Persephone and the Dark One work their magic
in the fields and graves and wombs
may cosmic Per Aa lay abundance on abundance
and watch over us in Serpent Power
may Fortuna's Wheel be greased, and the good hexes on bad Rexes
be manifested in the gentle rightful way of things
may Libertas be free in every heart and mind and body
may Dragons born of light and water love to turn our turbines
may Gaia be renewed in the compost of discarded ignorance
may the Serpent of the Earth be greened
and crowned with Glory
may Ma'at pierce the darkness with Her cool but fiery keenness
may Shamans be offered endowed chairs
and Holy Wisdom sought
may everyone be sovereign, and every sovereign Whole
may every revolution be complete, fulfilled!
May all our best be born in light,
and all our misteps turned to right,
may our wounds be healed and all our scars be softened --
and may our souls rise in Beauty like the Lions of the Sun
at the glorious birth of True Humanity
attended by the Gods
at the glowing threshold of Her Door.
