Now Hamas knows that it can always rely on Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood to stay in power and increase Hamas's influence.Did Hamas dispatch 7,000 militiamen from the Gaza Strip to Egypt to protect President Mohamed Morsi, who is currently facing a popular uprising?
Reports that appeared in a number of Egyptian opposition media outlets in the past few days claimed that the militiamen entered Egypt through the smuggling tunnels along the border with the Gaza Strip.
The reports quoted unidentified Egyptian security officials as saying that the Hamas militiamen had been spotted in the Egyptian border town of Rafah before they headed toward Cairo, to shore up the Muslim Brotherhood regime of Morsi, which Hamas may have feared was in danger of collapse.
The officials claimed that the Hamas militiamen had been deployed in a number of sensitive locations in the Egyptian capital, including the Al-Ittihadiyeh Presidential Palace, as part of a plan to protect the Muslim Brotherhood regime.
Hamas, an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood organization, is a staunch supporter of the Morsi regime.
This week, a Gulf newspaper "Akhbar Al-Khaleej" published what it described as "secret documents" proving that Hamas, with the financial backing of Qatar, had plans to send hundreds of militiamen to Egypt to help Morsi's regime.
One of the classified documents, signed by Hamas's armed wing, Izaddin al-Kassam, talks about the need to send "warriors to help our brothers in Egypt who are facing attempts by the former regime [of Hosni Mubarak] to return to power."
The reports about Hamas's alleged involvement in the Egyptian crisis have been strongly denied by Hamas officials.
Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar lost his temper during an interview with an Egyptian TV station; he said the reports were lies intended to tarnish Hamas's image.
Zahar accused supporters of the Mubarak regime of being behind the reports depicting Hamas as a terrorist organization helping President Morsi to kill Egyptians.
But this was not the first time that Egyptians had accused Hamas of meddling in their internal affairs.
In August 2012, reports in the Egyptian media suggested that Hamas was involved in the killing of 16 Egyptian border guards near the border with the Gaza Strip. The perpetrators have never been caught.
Egyptians have also accused Hamas of involvement in a terror attack against a church and attacking prisons in Egypt.
Although the talk about Hamas's involvement in terror activities on Egyptian soil may in some cases be exaggerated, repeated accusations against Hamas show that many Egyptians continue to see the radical Islamist movement as a threat to their national security.
Hamas has further been accused by some Egyptians of helping other Muslim fundamentalist groups turn Sinai into a base for jihadis from all around the world.
During last week's street clashes in Cairo, anti-Morsi demonstrators torched Hamas and Qatari flags. They also chanted slogans condemning Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood organization for bringing Hamas militiamen to suppress Egyptian protesters.
There is no doubt that Hamas is prepared to do its utmost to help Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood organization stay in power, even at the cost of killing and torturing Egyptian civilians. The downfall of the Mubarak regime has been a great blessing for Hamas, which has since emerged as a major player in the Palestinian and regional arena.
Thanks to Morsi, an Egyptian prime minister visited the Gaza Strip for the first time ever last November to express solidarity with Hamas during Israel's "Pillar of Defense" military operation. Such a visit would have been unthinkable under Mubarak, who did everything he could to weaken Hamas and stop it from meddling in the internal affairs of Egypt.
But now Hamas knows that it can always rely on Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood to stay in power and increase Hamas's influence. In return, Morsi apparently expects Hamas to reward him by sending its men to defend his palace.

Yesterday Nick Farrell wrote an article trying to rationalize his repeated profanation of "oath bound" Golden Documents. I considered this worthy of several hours of my time to refute, so that younger Golden Dawn initiates in our community would not be misled by Mr. Farrell's bad example, and to provide a positive role model for the traditional value of secrecy in initiatic traditions, including in the Golden Dawn. Mr. Farrell replied with yet another long "lineage rant" Alpha et Omega. The Golden Dawn community, of course, grew bored with Mr. Farrell's attack rants long ago, that have even tainted the feigned objectivity of his otherwise fine books.
There is no need, therefore, to waste time refuting such nonsense in detail yet again, as such screeds have been refuted over and over for nearly two decades already.
Let it suffice to say that, despite frequent and thorough refutation, Nick Farrell today still fails even to grasp what lineage means for a spiritual tradition like the Golden Dawn. Farrell mistakenly assumes that Golden Dawn lineage is like the formal lineage of Freemasonry, which amounts to little more than successions of paper charters.
The Golden Dawn, however, is a spiritual tradition, and thus lineage for the Golden Dawn, contrary to Nick Farrell's fundamental misunderstanding, is not at all like that of Freemasonry, but instead more closely resembles the lineages of Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, which are also "spiritual" lineages.
Golden Dawn lineage, as do all of the great spiritual lineages of the world, carries with it sets of spritual practices that lead to specific spiritual realizations, as do as the Dharma transmissions of Buddhism.
A perfect example of Golden Dawn spritual lineage, are the secret magical practices of the Hermetic tradition just communicated by the Secret Chiefs of the Third Order of the Golden Dawn to the Second Order of the Alpha Omega. As I mentioned in my recent article here, this spiritual lineage includes the initiatic secrets of the magical systems only touched upon in Cornelius Agrippa's", De Occulta Philosophia, "that were only alluded to in the profaned Golden Dawn material published by Crowley and Regardie. This is the first time that the actual magical practices have been transmitted to any Golden Dawn order.
This Hermetic spiritual lineage also includes a great deal more, which I am not at liberty to disclose publicly at this time. I may only mention that this Hermetic spiritual lineage also includes a complete system of Chaldaen elemental and astrological magic, available exclusively in the Second Order of the A.O.
When it comes to spiritual traditions, lineage without the requisite spiritual practices is worthless, and the true reason why Nick Farrell continuously attacks the Alpha Omega is to divert attention from the fact that Farrell has nothing at all to offer his Golden Dawn students, except for well known and published material.

Spiritual practice involves distinguishing between that which is temporary and that which is eternal. Through the sacred texts, such as the Bhagavad-gita, we can understand what this material energy is. It is God's energy. The energy itself is eternal, but its manifestations are temporary. These manifestations are always in the state of transformation. They change by the will of God under the influence of three modes of material nature-Goodness, Passion, and Ignorance, and by the power of the element of time. Thus, everything in this universe is constantly changing. Everything is constantly being created, maintained for sometime, and ultimately destroyed. Every cell is like a universe in itself, going through these processes of creation, maintenance, and destruction. We may look at Himalayan Mountains covered with ice, and they may seem permanent, but even they are made up of molecules and atoms which are always changing. Because of our ignorance it appears that it's the same mountain, but it too is always changing. Our body is also undergoing changes every moment. And the ultimate change where everything culminates, which we sometimes refer as death, is the end of all the change. Therefore, material nature is endlessly mutable. It's always changing. Similarly, all the worldly knowledge that we have accumulated will come to an end at the time of death. Thus, we should get knowledge by studying the sacred texts along with the guidance of true saints. This knowledge is eternal and has a specific purpose-to help us understand God and show us how to surrender to God. It is not our merely our mind, senses or intelligence that will help us understand God. They are all temporary themselves and can not reach the eternal. The sacred texts of Bhakti give information about God. And ultimately we can know God only through deep faith in the process of Bhakti - through devotion. Otherwise God will always remain beyond our perception. On a day when we celebrate our independent nation, we also celebrate the independent individual and revel in our artistic and creative energies. These can manifest in so many ways; you need not be an artist or designer to be artistic or creative.
Business ideas demand creative thought. Even the organizing of numbers by an accountant is artistic in nature, as long as they comply with accepted bookkeeping practices. A little examination of our abilities will reveal we are creative and artistic-as parents, as lovers, as workers, as healers, in our magic, and in the mundane.
We have become the people we are today because of our ability to see things in a manner that creates and re-creates who we are. We are a work of art to ourselves and others. Celebrate the independence of individual spirit.

Pagan Origins of Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras
As those of you who know me will not be surprised to find I found some pagan origins of pancake day!
The custom of eating pancakes at Shrove Tuesday was popular in many parts of Europe, including many parts distant from Britain, such as the Zemaitija province of Lithuania where it was an important celebration.
People traditionally ate bacon, meat and black puddings as well as pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. There was dice and card playing, mumming and revelry. Wagons were drawn by horses today, all decorated with hundreds of bells. Today was apprentices' holiday in old England. They also presented their petitions to parliament on this day.
The lunation immediately preceding the Egg Moon is the Lenten Moon. This is an old Saxon name basically meaning lengthening, signifying the period when the days are getting noticeably longer, but still preceding the Vernal Equinox. The true definition is the month that contains a full moon in the solar month of Herthamonth, which runs from 19th February until 20th March.
Lent originated in the ancient Babylonian mystery religion. "The forty days' abstinence of Lent was directly borrowed from the worshippers of the Babylonian goddess
Lent developed from the pagan celebration of weeping, fasting, and mourning for 40 days over the death of Tammuz (one day for each year of his life), the son/husband of the Babylonian idol Ishtar, who was killed by a wild boar and then allegedly resurrected.
Another shrove tuesday tradition; the energetic rituals of Shrove Tuesday football ties in neatly with spring festivals and that the round ball representing an egg links it to fertility rituals.

Today on the day of the Vernal Equinox, former A Hierophant Tomas Stacewicz declared the official opening of his new magickal order in Scandinavia, the Hermetiska Orden av den Gryende Morgonrodnaden (H.O.N.A.),
I take pleasure today in welcoming the H.O.N.A. as yet another traditionalist Hermetic order in the greater Magickal community.
It is important to understand, however, that the H.O.N.A. and does not operate under the authority of our order, the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha Omega, nor as a jurisdiction of our outer order, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. It also does not share our unique curriculum. The, which according to Stacewitz, is geared to meet the unique needs o Hyperboreans. operates as a completely separate order, which according to Stacewitz, is geared to meet the unique needs of Hyperboreans.
It is important to further clarify that the initiatic mission of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha Omega today continues in Scandinavia uninterrupted, as it has since 1992.
In 1997, the A opened its second Temple in Scandinavia, the Thoth Ter Maximus Temple Number 9, in Gothenburg, Sweden. At that time, it was my pleasure in appoint Tomas Stacewicz as the first Hierophant of Thoth Ter Maximus Temple.
On December 21, 2013, Tomas Stacewicz officially resigned from the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha Omega to create his own magickal order according to his unique personal vision.
Upon the resignation of Frater Stacewicz, it was my sad duty to install a new Hierophant of Thoth Ter Maximus Temple Number 9 from among the Thoth Ter Maximus members who chose to remain loyal to the A, rather than follow Frater Stacewicz into his new order.
Of course, Mr. Stacewicz took the temple implements he created to his new order along with him. Furniture, however, does not a temple make and the work of Thoth Ter Maximus Temple Number 9 continues today under leadership of loyal temple members who quickly replaced all necessary temple furniture.
Frater Stacewitz today wrote:
"I ceremonially closed down the Thoth Ter Maximus Temple No. 9 on this Vernal Equinox Assembly, a Temple which I myself founded, created all the implements, props and robes for (and which I still own) and named back in 1997, after being authorized to work it by David Griffin, and which I have worked since then until this Vernal Equinox. In my magical universe there doesn't exist any Thoth Ter Maximus Temple No. 9 anymore in Gothenburg, Sweden, or anywhere else for that matter."For the record, although Frater Stacewitz was duly installed Hierophant of the Thoth Ter Mazimus Temple Number 9 in Gothenburg, Sweden, his authority ended with his resignation from the Alpha Omega in December 2013. He was in no way authorised to close any temple of the A.O. Instead, he was merely replaced as Hierophant with another member of that temple who remained loyal to the A.O.
I find it fascinating how precisely today Frater Stacewitz magickally relinquished all interest in Thoth Ter Maximus Temple Number 9 of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha Omega, because today, at the precise hour of the Vernal Equinox the new password of the Alpha Omega was bestowed on Thoth Ter Maximus Temple Number 9 - and its new Hierophantria was regularly installed. Nothing is more central in the Golden Dawn thatn the mysteries of death and rebirth. While Thoth Ter Maximus Temple is indeed dear fot Frater Stacewitz, it cetrainly lives on without him in the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha Omega.

Throughout Scandinavia, the initiatic mission of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha Omega today continues uninterrupted, as it has since 1992.
