Is this really that time... ? Is The Quickening now upon us...?
This has been a topic of conversation many, many times over the years... wherever I have found myself in the world. Since the late 1980's... when we speculated what the effects would be... all the way through the dawning of the world wide web... and the creation of the thousands of wonderful speculative sights out there.... right up to the now... 2011 on the eve of 2012...
But what have I learnt through it all? Are there any notable signs... yes. I am aware... things are no longer the same as they were even three months ago. For example, three months ago I would still sleep like a baby the moment my head hit the pillow. It was a true characteristic of 'normal life'. But now... for the last 8-10 weeks my sleep patterns have notably changed. It's the same pattern. I get into bed with all the right intentions for sleep... in my favourite position... then there is an itch or an ache... then a tension and a sense of foreboding... and I shift my position to begin the process all over again. It feels like sleeping on a bed of nails with a myriad of spider's webs coming down from the ceiling touching my face and arms. I shift my position for a third time... then the frustration builds despite tried and tested relaxation techniques which have always worked in the past....
Changing sleep habits are one of the first signs of a change? Aren't they? I read it somewhere once... but it is one of the great differences and a sign things have changed on a personal level.
The other BIG change I've felt... which is most surely The Quickening... is the apparent ease I now find myself making connections with 'The Spirit Lands'... discarnate souls seem to have a much clearer link with me all of a sudden. It's not my imagination... but the number of immediate links to them as increased dramatically. Names, conditions, facial descriptions, mannerisms etc etc are now more readily available. Very few connections are vague... there are specific messages and 100% validation. Which is good! It's what I've been striving for since my first medium connection back in the early 1980's... the power of the connections has weaved and waned through the years; it's always been there... but recently it is the CLARITY which amazes me...
I'm pretty much convinced this is a clear cut sign that the solar activity has increased dramatically... the solar light is our link to the spirit lands after all. It is our nourishment on this planet. It is the area of the light spectrum where our DNA receives information and we communicate with... it is our 'silver chord' which connects us to the place we all come from. When we travel in the astral... and we see the silver chord... is it not the same light we see that connects our spirit with the physical body... we seem to travel along it... using the sun as the portal entrance to the other side....
So it is obvious that if this light source increases in power... then our spirituality will soar. The quickening is an increase in vibration of the light body.... we are all experiencing an increase in light sensitivity. But we may not all be feeling that effect.
There is also the change eating habits... I am eating less and needing less for nourishment... as more and more light is replenishing the light body... again, is this more evidence of The Quickening?
A quick question... are you feeling these effects too? Maybe other effects which I've not mentioned here are evident to you too.... you see there is the negative effects.... the headaches, the shiverings, the dizzy spells, the breaking away of certain friends and habits... that I haven't mentioned in detail; they are going on too... !
So, spend a few moments reviewing your life over the last three months... and write down the changes that you are now experiencing... can you attribute them to The Quickening... or do you have other explanations?

This ancient nighttime blessing ritual can help create harmony and health in a family, with couples or even within yourself. This form of ritual magic is best done at night with the whole family before bedtime. Doing this ritual consistently each evening before bed can help create calm, restful periods of sleep or give you peace and calming anytime you are unhappy or stressed. If you don't have a partner to do this ritual with, you can do it by yourself or with your pets. Here's how to do it:1. Sit in the South, facing North. Gather and place materials in front of you. You will need: * Sun Yellow candle * Paper or wooden matches * Chalice * Sea Salt * Spring Water2. Charge your Sun Candle: * Light a sun yellow candle with paper or wooden matches (do not use a lighter) * Wait until you have a steady candle flame * Cup your hands around the flame, focusing your attention on the candle and flame * Say this verse in a voice of command to charge the candle:"Child of Wonder,Child of Flame,Nourish Our Spirits, And Protect Our Aim."3. Fill the Chalice halfway with spring water, and sprinkle in some sea salt.4. Blow Water Blue (bright blue) energy into the Chalice as you swirl the water clockwise.5. Blow Water Blue into the Chalice and swirl the water clockwise before and after saying the verse below and between saying each line of the verse:"Water and Earth where you are cast,Let no spell nor adverse purpose last,Not in accord with me!Bless these people and bless their space,Far from here send baneful trace,Thus my will, so it be!"(If you are doing this ritual alone, you can change the fourth line to "Bless this person and bless my space.)7. Holding the Chalice in your left hand, face the person you are blessing (unless you are blessing yourself).8. Dip the index finger of your right hand into the water, and draw a vertical line down the center of the person's forehead (or on your own). The line should be 1 - 1 1/2 inches long.9. Draw a horizontal line of the same length from left to right through the center of the first line, forming a cross.10. Draw a clockwise circle starting at the right end of the horizontal line and touching both ends of both lines. As you draw the circle, say to the person, "For the peach of your mind." (If you're doing the ritual alone say "For the peach of my mind.")11. Repeat the same procedure on the person's chest (or your own), over the heart. As you draw the circle, say, "for the joy of your heart." (Substitute the words "my heart" if you are doing it alone.)12. Ask the person to take a sip of water from the Chalice and as they do this, say, "And for the health of your body." (If you're doing it alone take a sip and say "And for the health of my body".)13. If there are two people participating in the ritual, reverse roles have the person that was just blessed now do the blessing to their partner by repeating the process. If there are many people involved in the ritual, one person can bless everyone, and then one person in the group can bless the first person.14. You can also use the alternate verses, "For the health of your mind." And "For the health of your Spirit". Current research, explains that Latin America, an area which was predominantly registered as Roman Catholic, is undergoing a radical religious change. The reasons cited by the above research generally falls into one of these three categories: 1. "Catholicism came to Latin America through conquest." (Levine, 2007) In other words, it was forced upon a population, rather than a spontaneous growth of spirituality from the indigenous population. 2. In the second half of the nineteenth century, the Catholic church accepted radical changes in order to conform to a newer society. 3. The clergy status was predominantly "restricted to whites of legitimate birth" (Levine, 2007).
Latin Americans have a respect for the Greek culture: its arts, language, and, of recent times, they have grown a deep respect for the ancient Orthodox Christian faith. Additionally, there exists in Latin America a serious respect for the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the person of His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. (His All Holiness has recently visited Cuba, Mexico and Panama where he was officially invited by the Presidents of these Countries and appropriately honored as the Spiritual Leader for World Orthodoxy.) Large groups of indigenous persons who researched the foundations of Christianity have recently asked to be brought into the Orthodox faith. One group in particular in Guatemala has about 500,000 participants.
The Orthodox Church does not proselytize - so how has this come about?
The Orthodox Christian faith may feel comfortable to a Roman Catholic in some ways, as it has a vague similarity to Roman Catholicism with a structured uniform service. However, Orthodoxy varies greatly in aspects which allow a person to express a deep sense of spirituality within the confines of humanity, and a historical tradition extending from Christ and as He is revealed in the Old and New Testaments. As the Roman Catholic Church has made significant dogmatic changes since the year 1054, the ancient Orthodox Christian faith has remained unchanged since her formation as declared by the first Seven Ecumenical Councils.
The Holy Metropolis of Mexico was initially established 16 years ago to serve three existing Greek-speaking parishes of Mexico, Panama and Venezuela. He seriously feel that the country is no longer safe for non-Malays especially with the rise of the extremist that is pushing for Malay supremacy and the difficulty for non Malays to practice their religion.
* There are two parts of his reasons. One was about education. I must say that I agree with him after seeing the quality of education is seriously degrading. Many of the teachers in the urban setting are financially motivated and educating is secondary. This I have dwell in detail previously. I am more concern about his second reason. This reason is a valid one. We live in a multi-ethnic country and we call ourselves as one nation. And yet, we restrict the right of non-Muslims to practice their religion. It is almost impossible to get permission to built new churches and temples. If approval were granted they are being built outside residential areas. They have to go into commercial or industrial area and the design no longer looks like a church or a temple. The Malays with the weak faith thinks that their religion is compromised by having another prayer house in their midst.
* In areas where there are Mosque, there are no principles and standard ruling that applies on the usage of megaphones. In my own area, I could here the Azan from a neighboring mosque in Sri Ukay (2 km) and yet my mosque is blasting the Azan as if they want the people in KLCC to hear them. I have engaged them privately and have suggested simple things like to do a sound mapping so that soothing Azan could be heard within the mosque membership (Qariah). I am embarrassed with their stand and could no longer find in me to engage them. Now they have now move to the next level i.e. reciting the Quran using the megaphones before Azan. No one (Muslim and non Muslim) in my area object to the need of having Azan but what the people wants is to hear is a soothing Azan with a reasonable volume that is pleasant to the ear. Unfortunately there are powerful, narrow minded people who think it is their right to have Azan as loud as they want to. They think the grandiosity of Islam is related to the loudness of the Azan. The irony is during Azan most of my Muslims and Non Muslims neighbors would close their doors and windows as they cant take it. That includes the people who claims that they cant hear the Azan.
* The non-Malays in my area felt helpless and repressed. I can't blame them. I understand their predicament. They have no avenues to complain. If they complain they worry it may become a big local issue. They are seriously worried about their own and family safety. They live in fear and many has move out and many more planning to do the same. In the end the community will be divided and will split within ethnic lines. Is this what we want for the nation? The psychological fear is real and it is time that we take stock of the matter. As a Muslim, I am disappointed but I am helpless because I cant do anything. The other fellow Muslims neighbors complains behind the scene and dare not to come forward as they dont want to be labelled. We need to ask ourselves where do we want to go as a nation?

My son had to give a talk in Primary this week. So, trying to be efficient, I typed into the Google Search Engine the words, "LDS Primary, Talks".
