Again, the Christian sometimes sinks very deeply in sore trial from without. Every earthly prop is cut away. What then? Still underneath him are "the everlasting arms." He cannot fall so deep in distress and affliction but what the covenant grace of an ever-faithful God will still encircle him. The Christian may be sinking under trouble from within through fierce conflict, but even then he cannot be brought so low as to be beyond the reach of the "everlasting arms"-they are underneath him; and, while thus sustained, all Satan's efforts to harm him avail nothing.

The perl'e thread is sewn in every corner and middle of the block and sides of the blocks, and I have sewn the binding in place, too, to avoid getting the little bits of loose fibers all over me from the edges sof the fabrics and batting.
My stash use this month was not as good as in February. I have used 1.5 m fabrics for the borders (double layer) and binding, 2.2 m flannel for the backing and about 30 cm for the doll's clothes. For the second panel of the wallhanging - nothing to show yet - I used 0.6 m of my fabrics, the grey I bought in February. That makes 4.6 m in total.
I bought 0.4 m of quilting fabric I couldn't resist, and when I went to see a fabric shop in their new location in J"arvenp"a"a, I totally lost control and bought 30 cm pieces of 7 different fabrics, totalling 2.1 m. That makes 2.5 m in total. Still my stash was reduced by 2.1 m in March! I really should sew more. Like before, I don't count the fabrics coming in as donations or gifts. They only count when I use them! Does the small men's shirt bought at a thrifty shop count? I felt I needed it for a coming quilt, and it only cost 1 EUR.

Today the Church celebrates the feast of the Holy Family. As a former evangelical believer, the concept of Jesus having a family only seemed important to me during the Christmas season. It was only once a year, that I came close to fulfilling Mary's statement in the Magnificat that "all generations will call me blessed." Catholicism has taught me to appreciate Jesus' family and the appreciation of his Holy Family encourages me to be a better father and husband. His step father, Joseph was a godly man who took great risk in his life to obey God, marry a virgin who was pregnant and then transport his new young family to safety in a foreign land. Surely, he modeled respect and obedience for God to young Jesus. His mother, Mary, is the model for all Christians by saying "yes" to God, "May it be unto me according to your word." Since Jesus' mom is Mary and he is my spritual brother, it is not a stretch to say that Mary is our mother too! At the Cross, Jesus gave his Mom to John, but this has always been interpreted by the Church as Jesus giving his mother to us as well.

As you are probably aware, June 9 to June 16 is SSA WEEK, a fundraising campaign for the Secular Student Alliance (SSA). The SSA works to support secular student groups in U.S. high schools, colleges, and universities. According to their website:Our primary goal is to foster successful grassroots campus groups which provide a welcoming community for secular students to discuss their views and promote their secular values.Although my schedule does not permit me to participate in Blogathon 2012, part of the fundraising efforts for SSA Week, I did appreciate the invitation to do so. Since I can't do that, I wanted to tell you about my experience with the SSA and why they are such a worthy cause.ATHEISTS IN MISSISSIPPII can imagine few places in the U.S. more challenging for atheists than right here in Mississippi. Evangelical fundamentalist Christianity is everywhere, and there is precious little separation of church and state. Christian flags can be found in courthouses, mandatory jury selection proceedings begin with sectarian prayers, and politicians of every level make sure voters know which Southern Baptist church they attend. To call it oppressive, isolating, and even scary at times would be an understatement.And yet, there are atheists here. These atheists need support. They need safe places to gather with like-minded individuals and have the opportunity to be themselves. They need the chance to talk about their thoughts and feelings without being threatened with hell or physical assault. This is where the SSA comes in.THE SSA IN MISSISSIPPIAs unlikely as it may seem, there is an SSA chapter right here in South Mississippi. A few atheist students reached out to the SSA for help after learning about the organization on the Internet. After a few phone calls and emails with SSA personnel, these students decided that they wanted to start an SSA group at their university. It was amazing to see how helpful the SSA was throughout this process. They sent the students detailed information about how to set up a group, including a lengthy manual, flyers, stickers, and all sorts of other resources. There was no charge for any of this material, and it was high quality stuff. With this information and support, the students held some meetings on campus to recruit potential members, wrote a charter, held elections, and became an official student group, recognized by the university. There was quite a bit of concern that the university might reject the group's application, but they didn't. I believe the upcoming London Olympics is intended to be a Bell, Book and Candle ritual, a Satanic mega-ritual. I'll be expanding on what is meant by bell, book and candle, but briefly it's a ritual curse made using these three implements. This ritual's most familiar guise is the Roman Catholic priesthood's excommunication practice. This activity isn't merely symbolic, and I don't hesitate to say that, even though it's apparent to me that so many educated and intelligent people will immediately dismiss me as superstitious and ignorant, this matter should be taken very seriously.
BELL: The London Olympics will open with bell ringing all over the UK, including the ringing of the biggest ringing bell in Europe, a featured object that will be hung at the Olympic Stadium.
BOOK: The book is something I suspect will manifest on multiple levels, the most important of which is the human "book of life." DNA has been featured heavily in Olympic ceremonies and in some of the associated art and architectures. The helical DNA "scroll" is written in genetic script that includes letters (A, C, G, and T nucleotide bases) and punctuation, in "stop DNA" or termination codons. The Olympic games that are "bookended" by the opening and closing ceremonies feature the entire scope of the "book," competitors, support personnel and spectators from nearly every race and place.
CANDLE: The candle will be the Olympic Cauldron, truly a witch's cauldron, burning with the flame ritually lit from the sun on Mt. Olympus and dedicated to Apollo and Zeus, aka Satan.

"The phrase "bell, book, and candle" refers to a method of excommunication for one who had committed a particularly grievous sin. Apparently introduced around the late 9th century, the practice was once used by the Catholic Church; in modern times, a simple pronouncement is made. Practicing witches will immediately identify the bishop with 12 priests as a coven, and their reciting an oath on the altar as the ritual casting of a cursing spell. And so should we.
The activity planned for the London Olympics suggests that the IOC intends to enact a mega ritual modeled on the bell book and candle curse. They will begin by ringing a giant bell. They will hold the games for 2 weeks, marking the conclusion with a ceremonial declaration, closing the book. Finally, they will extinguish the flame, snuffing out the candle. Given the symbolism surrounding all that's being done leading up to the event, and, in the context of everything else going on at the present time, it seems apparent to me that a bell, book and candle spell will be cast and that all who participate on some level will be cursed thereby. Without the sovereign God's intervention, the impact of this supernatural offensive will be massive in scale.
I have to wonder if a precedent wasn't set in the not too distant past, during the "Nazi" Olympics. That happened in Berlin in 1936. Give some consideration to what followed. Serious consideration.
Those games featured a special iron bell that was dedicated by Nazi officials (SS) in a secret ceremony, hung at the stadium and rung to open the event. Those games concluded with a ceremony, and their cauldron flame was extinguished. That flame was the first in modern times to have been lit from the sun on Mount Olympus and conveyed to the stadium in a torch relay, the Olympischer Fackellauf.
This movie was based on a popular Broadway play of the same title. These, along with the 1942 film, [video] I Married a Witch, inspired the popular TV series Bewitched (1964-1972 - Elizabeth Montgomery). The BB and C Broadway play was popular, and the movie was nominated for two Academy Awards and a Golden Globe, but the greater influence would come through the medium of TV, with Bewitched having a huge influence on our culture. The series was produced by Screen Gems, so each episode was attended by a version of the infamous "The S From Hell." The trauma induced aided in the systematic programming of generations of mind-controlled people like us. Unless you're breaking free, you're still under the spell. Really.

Having observed how Freemasons and Jesters coordinate their activites on this calendar, when the Oympics schedule their Satanic rituals on such an "unholy day," I pay attention. This day of the Grand Climax will bring with it perverse rituals, performed around the world with human sacrifice (female) and gross sexual abuse. Will there be a coordinated global sex and sacrificial death ritual headlined in the Olympic Park? (Maybe the Queen and some of the royals will wear their Order of the Garter apparel?)
In view of all these things, the word "ominous" falls pretty far short of describing how this looks. Some folks have grave concerns about what might come on December 21, 2012. I think it's reasonable to have serious concerns that are rather more near-term. Whether trouble comes on a grand scale in July, August or December, I can't say. In the midst of this, there's all the US Presidential election nonsense. Trouble is coming, and my recommendation is to heed the ominous warning signs that swarm all around us. There is a refuge. Televangelist Oral Roberts (1918 - 2009) died on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at the age of 91 of complications from pneumonia. Roberts was well known for conducting evangelistic and faith healing crusades in the USA and several other countries. He was also the founder of Oral Roberts University.
Grant Wacker, professor of Christian history at Duke University, believes that Oral Roberts was one of the most influential American religious figures of the 20th century. Although I strongly disagree with Oral Roberts' teachings on divine healing and his views of the prosperity gospel, I agree with Wacker's assessment because I have seen first hand how Oral Roberts' teachings on healing had such an impact on people who were sick.
Before his death, a member of my family bought and read many of Oral Roberts' books dealing with miracles and divine healing. In these books Roberts encouraged people to believe that God was able to heal through prayer and through the power of faith.
In one of his books, 3 Most Important Steps to Your Better Health and Miracle Living (Tulsa, OK: Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association, 1976), p. 203, Oral Roberts wrote: "All sickness is from the Devil. All healing is from God." Many people believed that statement and because of that, they sought Oral Roberts' prayer when they were sick.
One interesting incident happened to me when I was the pastor of a church in San Jose, California. One day, while visiting a member of my church whose daughter was very sick, the mother of the child told me that she was praying for healing and anointing the child with the holy anointing oil that Oral Roberts had sent her (after she had sent him a monetary gift).
I asked the mother of the child to show me the holy anointing oil she was using to anoint her sick daughter. The oil was in a special bottle, inside a small box. Inside the box there was a written statement that said that the holy anointing oil was manufactured according to the instructions in Exodus 30:22-25:
The LORD spoke to Moses: Take the finest spices: of liquid myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, that is, two hundred fifty, and two hundred fifty of aromatic cane, and five hundred of cassia-- measured by the sanctuary shekel-- and a hin of olive oil; and you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil.
The mother of the sick child believed that a sick person should be anointed with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:14), and according to the instructions received from Oral Roberts, she should anoint her child with the anointing oil made according to the Bible's instruction.
I asked that woman if she had read what the Bible says about the anointing oil mentioned in the book of Exodus. When she told me she had not read the passage, I opened my Bible and read both Exodus 30:22-25 (the text mentioned above) and Exodus 30:31-33, which had been omitted from the instruction she had received from Oral Roberts. That text says:
You shall say to the Israelites, "This shall be my holy anointing oil throughout your generations. It shall not be used in any ordinary anointing of the body, and you shall make no other like it in composition; it is holy, and it shall be holy to you. Whoever compounds any like it or whoever puts any of it on an unqualified person shall be cut off from the people."
After explaining to that mother the purpose of the holy anointing oil, I prayed for her child and in God's mercy, the child's health was restored and that woman learned a great lesson about healing, anointing, and the ministry of Oral Roberts.
Another book by Oral Roberts was I Will Rain Upon Your Desert. This book deals with a revelation of the Lord that came to Oral Roberts in the desert concerning the vision to rise up and build a new hospital. In this vision, God told Oral Roberts to build a hospital with 777 beds. The hospital was built, but not according to the specifications God gave to Oral Roberts in that vision because the city of Tulsa vetoed God's command and did not allow a hospital with 777 beds.
There is no doubt that the ministry of Oral Roberts was very influential because his message spoke to people who were looking for the kind of help they believed only God could give. And these people came to Oral Roberts because they saw in him a man who was convinced of the healing power of prayer and because they believed he was the instrument God was using to bring that healing.
