(IsraelNN.com) MK Ibrahim Sarsur (Ra'am Ta'al) sent a letter to Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef this week warning Rabbi Yosef to give in to Muslim demands in order to protect the Jewish people. If Shas and the rest of the Knesset does not give in to the Palestinian Authority, Sarsur said, "there will be nothing be destruction and demolition, and you, honorable rabbi, know better than others this truth that is indicated in the Koran and included in your Torah."

Sarsur referred to the 2002 Saudi Plan, saying, "In 3,000 years the Jews never received such a generous offer as they recently received from the Arabs and Muslims." True peace will not be possible unless Israel agrees to the plan and gives up Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem while allowing millions of foreign Arab descendants of those who fled Israel in the 1940s to "return" to Israel. He rejected Shas's insistence on a unified Jewish Jerusalem, saying the Muslim claims to Jerusalem was supported by "proofs and facts and the belief of 1.5 billion Muslims," while "the Jews talk about a possible right [to Jerusalem] that remains unproven to this day."
