"NOR DOES DIVINE PROVIDENCE DENY THE HELPS NECESSARY FOR SALVATION TO THOSE WHO, WITHOUT BLAME ON THEIR PART, HAVE NOT YET ARRIVED AT AN EXPLICIT KNOWLEDGE OF GOD AND WITH HIS GRACE STRIVE TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE. Whatever good or truth is found amongst them is looked upon by the Church as a preparation for the Gospel. She knows that it is given by Him who enlightens all men so that they may finally have life." (Lumen Gentium, No. 16).Followers of the late Fr. Leonard Feeney have initiated a discussion thread at the Holy Cross Cardinal Newman Society website with an article written by Fr. Brian W. Harrison, O.S., and entitled "Can an 'implicit faith' in Christ be sufficient for salvation?"*The answer is: yes. Let's hear from Avery Cardinal Dulles on the subject: "The Magisterium of the Church has gradually clarified its position regarding the possibilities of salvific faith for the unevangelized. From patristic times until our own century the axiom 'Outside the Church no salvation' was often stated in terms that "seemed to make" explicitly Christian and Catholic faith an absolute condition for salvation. For example, the Council of Florence in its Decree for the Jacobites (1442) asserted: '[The Holy Roman Church] firmly believes, professes, and preaches that none of those who exist outside of the Catholic Church - not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics - can become sharers of eternal life; rather, they will go into the eternal fire 'that was prepared for the devil and his angels' [Mt 25: 41] unless, before the end of their lives, they are joined to that same Church.' (DS 1351).This position was nuanced in the mid-nineteenth century. In an allocution given on the occasion of the definition of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin in 1854, Pope Pius IX reminded the assembled bishops of the error of thinking that Catholics 'can well hope for the eternal salvation of all those who have in no way lived in the true Church of Christ.' BUT THEN HE ADDED THAT GOD IN HIS JUSTICE AND MERCY WILL NEVER IMPUTE GUILT TO THOSE WHO INNOCENTLY ERR. WE MUST NOT PRESUME TO JUDGE THE LIMITS OF INVINCIBLE IGNORANCE, 'TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE GREAT VARIETY OF PEOPLES, LANDS, NATIVE TALENTS, AND SO MANY OTHER FACTORS.' In an encyclical of 1863 the same pope again repudiated the extremes of rigorism and latitudinarianism. He wrote:'It is once again necessary to recall and censure the very serious error in which some Catholics are unfortunately involved, that of believing that it is possible to attain eternal life although living in error and in a state of alienation from the true faith and from Catholic unity. This view is utterly contrary to Catholic teaching. You know also that people who are invincibly ignorant of our holy religion, provided that they sincerely keep the precepts of the natural law, who are prepared to obey God, and who live honorable and upright lives, can, by the efficacious power of the light and grace of God, attain eternal life; for God, who fully beholds, scrutinizes, and knows the minds, hearts, thoughts, and dispositions of all, in his supreme mercy will by no means permit anyone who is not guilty of voluntary fault to suffer eternal punishments.'Under Pius XII the salvation of 'nonbelievers' was discussed in connection with the necessity of belonging to the true Church in order to be saved. THE ENCYCLICAL MYSTICI CORPORIS (1943), AFTER DECLARING THAT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ALONE IS THE MYSTICAL BODY OF CHRIST, SPOKE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF BELONGING TO IT NOT BY FORMAL MEMBERSHIP BUT 'BY A KIND OF UNCONSCIOUS DESIRE AND INTENT' (INSCIO QUODAM DESIDERIO AC VOTO, DS 3821). THE POPE SEEMED TO IMPLY THAT THIS LATTER TYPE OF BELONGING, EVEN THOUGH IT DID NOT GIVE THE FULL BENEFITS OF INCORPORATION IN THE VISIBLE ORGANIZATION OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD, MIGHT SUFFICE FOR SALVATION IN THE CASE OF PERSONS INCULPABLY IGNORANT OF THE TRUE FAITH.IN 1949 THE HOLY OFFICE, IN A LETTER TO THE ARCHBISHOP OF BOSTON, DECLARED THAT AN 'IMPLICIT INTENT' (IMPLICITUM VOTUM) COULD SUFFICE, PROVIDED THAT IT WAS ACCOMPANIED BY SUPERNATURAL FAITH AND PERFECT CHARITY (DS 3870-72). These texts, while not dealing directly with the kind of faith required for salvation, implied that explicit faith in Christ and the Church would not be necessary in the case of the unevangelized....As late as the mid-twentieth century Leonard Feeney, S.J., and his followers at St. Benedict Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, proclaimed that no one could be saved without joining, or explicitly intending to join, the Roman Catholic Church. FEENEY'S PESSIMISTIC POSITION WAS, HOWEVER, REJECTED BY THE ROMAN CONGREGATION OF THE HOLY OFFICE, WHICH ASSERTED, AS ALREADY MENTIONED, THAT A MERELY IMPLICIT DESIRE TO JOIN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, IF ACCOMPANIED BY FAITH AND INFORMED BY PERFECT CHARITY, COULD SUFFICE." (The Assurance of Things Hoped For: A Theology of Christian Faith, pp. 259-260, 262).Fr. Brian W. Harrison has no authority to contradict the Teaching Magisterium of the Church. Neither do the followers of the late Fr. Leonard Feeney. As Richard B [a Catholic apologist from the Worcester Diocese] explained at the Holy Cross Cardinal Newman Society website:"Theologians are not in any way the Teaching Magisterium. Fr. Feeney or any of his followers are in error to think that they can, in any measure, take on the charism of the Teaching Magisterium and thereby proclaim what the dogma [Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus] is all about...Only Peter, by himself alone, or with the Bishops, who are one with Peter, have the charism to proclaim the content of this dogma."Well said Richard. This situation is very serious. Followers of the late Fr. Leonard Feeney who are defending his rejected interpretation of the dogma are continuing to sow the seeds of dissent from the Church's authentic teaching on the subject. This situation needs to be addressed in a meaningful way by Church authorities.Related reading here and here.* The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, in its 1990 Instruction on the Ecclesial Vocation of the Theologian, distinguishes clearly between questions which theologians may raise about authoritative but noninfallible teachings (nos. 24-31) and dissent from such teachings (nos. 32-41). The document judges that questioning can be compatible with the "religious submission" required (see Lumen Gentium, No. 25), but it firmly and unequivocally rejects dissent from such teachings as incompatible with this "religious submission" and irreconcilable with the theologian's vocation. Dissent from infallibly proposed teachings (such as the Church's understanding of the dogma "Outside the Church no salvation") is a fortiori excluded. This teaching is outlined quite clearly in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which Pope John Paul II says, "..is a statement of the Church's faith and of Catholic doctrine, attested to or illumined by Sacred Scripture, the Apostolic Tradition, and the Church's Magisterium." (Apostolic Constitution Fidei Depositum, No. 3). In this same Apostolic Constitution, Pope John Paul II states that the Catechism "..is the result of the collaboration of the whole Episcopate of the Catholic Church." (No. 2).Theologians such as Fr. Brian Harrison are not "pastors" within the Church. They have not been given the mission from the Lord Jesus to instruct the faithful in "all that serves to make the People of God live their lives in holiness and increase their faith" (Dei Verbum, No. 8). This mission has been entrusted exclusively to the Magisterium of the Church, i.e., the Pope and those Bishops who remain united with him.Dei Verbum of the Second Vatican Council teaches that, "the task of "authentically interpreting" the word of God, whether written or handed on, HAS BEEN ENTRUSTED EXCLUSIVELY TO THE LIVING TEACHING OFFICE OF THE CHURCH, WHOSE AUTHORITY IS EXERCISED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. This teaching office is not above the word of God, but serves it, teaching only what has been handed on, listening to it devoutly, guarding it scrupulously and explaining it faithfully in accord with a divine commission and with the help of the Holy Spirit, it draws from this one deposit of faith everything which it presents for belief as divinely revealed." (No. 10).
Holy 26 Martyrs of Zographou (Feast Day - October 10)By Protopresbyter Fr. George PapavarnavasThe Papists, who never stopped fighting to subjugate the Orthodox under the dominion of the Pope, went to Mount Athos in 1274 A.D. to serve in the struggle to impose Papism in any way, because "the Pope wanted to subjugate the Eastern Church and to fulfill the big dream of Papism, which is one Church under the authority of the Pope" (Nikos Zacharopoulos). The monks of Mount Athos, despite intense pressure and torture, remained firm in the Orthodox faith. Unfortunately, however, the Monasteries of Great Lavra and Xeropotamou succumbed to the threats and submitted to the Pope. This made the Papists believe they could expand their dominance throughout Mount Athos.Their next goal was the Sacred Monastery of Zographou near which a certain monk was struggling in the ascetic life, who had the blessed habit of reading daily, before the icon of the Theotokos, the Akathist Hymn. One day, as soon as the monk said: "Rejoice, bride unwedded", he heard the Panagia say to him: "Rejoice thou also, servant of God". She then told him that the Papists were on their way to the Sacred Monastery of Zographou and urged him to notify the monks. As a result, some monks dispersed and hid in a cave. However, twenty-six monks, together with their abbot, gathered together in the tower of the Monastery. The Papists tried first with flattery and then with threats to convince them to open the Monastery and liturgize together with them. Because they refused to do so, they were burned alive.Below we will highlight briefly the following:First, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church is what we confess in the Symbol of Faith, which is the Orthodox Church, that received the faith as it was revealed by Christ and given by the Apostles, and through her true members, the Saints, it preserves unadulterated. The Saints, because they reached theosis and know God empirically, can discern between that which is created and that which is uncreated, truth from error, the divine from the demonic. Also, they know very well, that when the faith is altered, a person's way of life is altered, and the method of treatment of the passions is lost putting their salvation at stake.Latin-speaking inhabitants of the Western Roman Empire (Byzantium) were members of the Orthodox Church, "until the Franks conquered by force the Patriarchate of Rome and permanently settled their own Pope (probably from 1009 onward). Only then, when a Frank took over the papal throne, did the Popes begin supporting the "Filioque" and juxtaposed the Orthodoxy of the four remaining Patriarchates" (Anastasios Philippides). At present we will not analyze the "Filioque" (and from the Son), which means that the Holy Spirit also proceeds from the Son, as well as the other heretical doctrines introduced by the Franks, that resulted in their secession from the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. What can be noted here is that "the heretical doctrine of the "Filioque" is based on another serious heresy which teaches that the energies of God are created. But we know from Holy Scripture and the teachings of the Holy Fathers that God is uncreated and both His essence and energies are uncreated. Only created things have a created essence and created energies, and these are creations of God. If the energies of God are created, this means also that the essence of God is created, which means man cannot be saved, since something created cannot save something else created. The uncreated God saves created man. Gregory Palamas, in uncovering the heretical teachings of Barlaam, stresses the fact that God is uncreated in His essence and uncreated in His energies. His essence is unknowable, but He can be known through His uncreated energies, which is Grace, wisdom, philanthropy, His goodness, etc." (Metropolitan Hierotheos of Nafpaktos). Also, when the Orthodox teachings in the West were altered by the Franks, the hesychastic way of life was also lost, which was experienced and expressed by many Fathers of the West, such as Saint Jerome, Saint Gregory the Dialogist and Pope of Rome, et al. This teaching led to the purification of the heart from the passions, to the illumination of the nous and to theosis. It was replaced with scholasticism and moralism, that created within people many internal-existential problems that have had adverse impacts on society, as well as the natural environment.Second, martyrdom is directly linked to man's spiritual condition. He who has reached theosis has acquired perfect love and is ready at any moment to sacrifice his life for Him Who first loved us. We speak of perfect love, because there is "small love, middle love and perfect love. Whoever fears sin, loves God. Whoever is devout, loves even more. Whoever has Light and joy in their soul, loves yet even more. And whoever has grace in their soul and body, that person has perfect love. Such grace is given by the Holy Spirit to the Martyrs and by this they bravely endured all pain" (Saint Silouan the Athonite). When we speak about Orthodoxy we must also speak about Orthopraxis, because Orthodoxy is not an ideology, but a way of life and a method of therapy for the passions. It is a continuous journey towards theosis, which is the purpose of our lives.Source: "Ekklesiastiki Paremvasi", , October 2008. Translated by John Sanidopoulos.

Plus this footer an surprising book was a minute ago published that describes the Liveliness and Natural world of the worthy Capacious Paisios, whom I was prepared praiseworthy by God to near and to grace with your presence to his divinely unscrupulous knowledge.
The playwright of the book is the ever-memorable Hieromonk Isaac, with the help of his Brotherhood, both in advance and as soon as his leisure, and its upmost section is ready the Holy Convent of Saint John the Ancestor in Transformation of Chalkidiki.
1. THE Delighted OF THE Text
It is a "exact biography" of Capacious Paisios and in fact his "life story", with the high point foundation of information living being Capacious Paisios himself, like the Capacious guided his spiritual children with his own fantastic spiritual atmosphere, as a result divulging some spiritual aspects of himself. At any rate, the spiritual and monastic life is in principal a polemical - military science.
The matter unexcitable, as acknowledged in the Establishment, was more exactly far-reaching, which is why "knowledge of the Capacious were mislaid, which possibly will complete undeniable volumes, as well as numerous correspondence and washed up 200 attested miracles of his."
The Brotherhood of Capacious Isaac writes in the Prologue: "Above than his miracles we bind been inspired by his fantastic self-denial, his honor-loving struggles for the love of Christ, his monastic faithfulness and delicate aspect for the spiritual life, his green good taste, his sacrificial love for all men and loving mindset that gave rest to all."
Tons books bind scattered in connection with the ever-memorable Fr. Paisios, and we bind in our observation his greatest extent actual words on mixed issues of the spiritual life ready persons that were published by the Blessed Monastery of Saint John the Theologian in Souroti, as well as other treatise with mixed pilgrims that bind appeared. But this book we are presenting presents the connections of this teaching of who Fr. Paisios is, like it observably describes what he did to keep up in having an actual theological word. Defective the connections of a life, words are manufacture.
The book "Capacious Paisios of Escalate Athos" is divided clothed in two go ahead parts.
The chief part describes "His Liveliness" and is divided clothed in fourteen chapters with sub-sections, with titles like: "His Descent According to the Flesh and to the Person"; "In System for the Nonphysical Liveliness"; "Belligerent Advantage"; "Analytical and Preparing"; "Coenobitic Liveliness in the Monastery of Esphigmenou"; "Liveliness in the Idiorhythmic Monastery of Philotheou"; "At the Monastery of Stomio in Konitsa"; "A Hermit on the God-trodden Escalate Sinai"; "At Iveron Skete"; "In Apathetic Katounakia"; "At the Hermitage of the Holy Bad-tempered"; "At Panagouda Lithe to the Bane"; "Breakdown and a Fluky Quietness"; "Miracles As His Quietness".
The small part is noble "Themes" and is divided clothed in three chapters. The chief is noble "Intrinsic worth", the small "Nonphysical Offerings" and the third "Charity".
The keep on part of the book is an "Afterthought" that presents three themes: "The Elder's Stop, Outlook and Intrinsic Offerings", "His Message" and "The Elder's Nonphysical Tendency".
If the chief part of the book presents the "vast life" of the Capacious and we see his drive and spiritual battles, the small part presents his "effective life" recitation logically his blessed natural world.
Moreover parts bind their selfishness. In the chief part one admires his struggles and asceticism, as well as the experiences of the Capacious, and in the small part one is out of order and dizzied by the squat of his natural world.
Saint Maximus the Confessor writes that the Holy Person causes persons to be unadorned who are praiseworthy of refining, ready severity, adoration and knowledge; and He causes beam of the knowledge of beings to persons who are praiseworthy of the light, ready faculty, behest and prudence; and He also gives development to all persons praiseworthy of theosis, ready all-enlightening, simple and improve wisdom. The ever-memorable Capacious was praiseworthy of refining, beam and theosis, and God arranged him all the harvest of his blessed details, like he became a spiritual recoil and helped kinfolk in many ways, with his words and his silence, with his prayers and his miracles. For this weigh up in the manner of his words are read, they sound to be words of wisdom and sense, words that fire up a reformed and revised variety life.
2. EMPIRICAL ECCLESIOLOGY
"Constituent TWO"
It's not genuine the Galatians who desired to be reminded of God's entire grace! As Paul scolds the "dull Galatians" in this adjoining passage, I'm absolute we can all use this tiny oppose in the seek out to evade sinking into the especially fix they had plunged into. Or doubtless we are so far down that hole we craving to grasp run of Paul's hand to be pulled out!"OH, Senseless GALATIANS! WHO HAS Net AN Evil Era ON YOU? FOR THE Objective OF JESUS CHRIST'S Fatal accident WAS Through AS Obedient TO YOU AS IF YOU HAD SEEN A Look over OF HIS Fatal accident ON THE Pass through. LET ME ASK YOU THIS ONE QUESTION: DID YOU Accept THE Blessed Run BY OBEYING THE LAW OF MOSES? OF Pour NOT! YOU Expected THE Run Being YOU Said THE Phone call YOU HEARD Set CHRIST. HOW Senseless CAN YOU BE? After Starting YOUR CHRISTIAN LIVES IN THE Run, WHY ARE YOU NOW Shaky TO Take home Clean and tidy BY YOUR OWN Whatsoever EFFORT?" (Galatians 3:1-3 NLT)How consequent it is to remember that we were saved by enhance and we are to hurry to relocate by enhance. Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:10, " FOR WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP, Shaped IN CHRIST JESUS FOR Jingle Machinery, WHICH GOD Balanced Beforehand, THAT WE Requirement Wander IN THEM." We can't even stand for gratitude for our works. They are gifts of enhance from Him made-up in the past few minutes for each of us. Yet, we sometimes act as if we distrust God is so lucky to fix us on His side! "Man, God absolute got a good workhorse having the status of He got me!"Do you find yourself sluggish by all you are "produce an effect for the LORD?" Are you operation in circles from assemble to assemble, Bible study to choir practice, teaching Sunday school count trying to make it shortest three other programs to read the Bible in a year? Oh wait! Is that my calendar I'm reading from? To the same degree in the world are we thinking? Gift really can be too a lot of a good thing. In fact, steadily having the status of we set the "good matter" onto our plates, we no longer fix room for the "best thing" - the one hard to please thing that God has called us to.Years someone who suffers from "helium hand" - you know, the one that goes up to tender whenever a craving is to be had - I was very appreciative having the status of, very old in my relocate with the Noble a wise female told me, "The "Be deficient in" isn't very usefully the "Cleave to". Gift ghost unfailingly be desires. But if you step in to citizens every craving, you may actually be spoils to one side the job of someone God has in the past few minutes called to it." PHEW! That so relieved me of the embarrassment of NOT volunteering for every pointed pardon for help!On one occasion we begin to close out, it is perhaps while we are no longer walking in enhance, but walking in our own works. Jesus came to bring up our burdens, not add to them. So if you are receptivity weighted down, or if you are upset while you are unfailingly the one produce an effect Everything, rethink that. God is not departure to love you larger than while you dry as a bone the cookies, open the church picnic, wrote the substantial for Vacation Bible File, and served on three church committees. If He has called you to any or all of that, you ghost know. He ghost performance it. [A good controller of thumb is to pray with your wife about commitments you grasp] But all of family everyday jobs you developed won't make God love you larger than. He Earlier than loves you larger than than you can date.On one occasion we get into the works mode, it leads to airs. God hates that! Or it leads to judgmental attitudes on the way to somebody extremely. God hates that, too! Paul's take is very clear: it's all by enhance from beginning to end. I desired that reminder!
When I first heard the term I thought this was just another one of those confusing Catholic terms. Magisterium is the english equivalent of the latin word for teacher= magister. The Magisterium is the living, teaching office of the Catholic Church. Simply put, the Magisterium has the task and responsibility of interpreting the Word of God.
Non-Catholics bristle at this notion, as I once did too, and insist that each one of us has the ability to interpret Scripture for themselves based on their membership in the body of Christ. The problem that arises is when private interpretation of Scripture leads to divergent and oftentimes opposing views. Ultimately divisions and branches are formed when each party holds to their own particular interpretation of Scripture. I struggle with the notion of "private interpretation" because it implies that Jesus, who gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us in all Truth, is allowing certain bits of Truth to be "up for grabs." These areas of divergent opinion are sometimes termed the "non-essentials" but often they are about salvation/eternal security/meaning of Baptism, and are indeed very essential truths.
In my discussion with brethren who hold to the idea of Sola Scriptura (That all truth must be contained in the Bible alone), they insist we need no magisterium to tell us what to believe because the Bible doesn't mention it explicitly. They say that their own interpretation of Scripture is the correct one since "it comes directly from the Word of God" and they just let "scripture interpret scripture." I wish it was that easy! Even Luther at some point bemoaned "private interpretation" when he said "Every man that has a head has become his own pope!"
(Refer to my earlier post regarding Sola Scriptura here)
I submit that "NO MAN IS AN ISLAND" particularly when it comes to developing a theology /belief system and in actuality, every man does subscribe and submit to his own "magisterium." You do and I do. It may be the magisterium of their favorite pastor or bible teacher, or the magisterium of their personal friends who they are in agreement with regarding areas of faith and morals. It could be the magisterium of "Radio Bible Class" or it can be the Chinese Restaurant Magisterium (I'll take one of those from Column A and two of those from Column B) Which is what I did for many years! In other words, none of us, if we are completely honest, study the Bible with a totally blank and open mind (skull full of mush so to speak) and let the Holy Spirit give us the correct interpretation of Scripture. We rely on our past religious education, denominational affiliations, memories, and moral inclinations and experiences. It would be impossible to do otherwise.
Catholics and Non- Catholics both have a magisterium. It's just that we believe our Magisterium is the teaching authority Christ entrusted to his apostles when he established the Church on Peter. We believe this has continued in apostolic succession through the ages even despite some popes who were real scoundrels. However, when it came to issues of faith and morals, even the stinkers didn't pervert or twist truth. That was the Holy Spirit's divine protection and the "charism of infallibility."
Jesus did not leave us alone, but in his kindness and mercy left us with the Paraclete who will lead us in all truth. Catholics believe this process occurs via the Magisterium of the Church. The way I see it, the things our Lord wants us to know about Him are too precious to be left to chance and our own admittedly fallible private interpretation. So Jesus gave us His Church through which the Holy Spirit continues to guide us infallibly through fallible men. We believe scripture supports this view in Timothy, when Paul tells the people that the household of God, the Church, is the pillar and foundation of truth. (II Timothy 3:16)
This is what the Catechism says about it:
"The task of giving an authentic interpretation of the Word of God, whether in its written form or in the form of Tradition, has been entrusted to the living, teaching office of the Church alone. Its authority in this matter is exercised in the name of Jesus Christ. This means that the task of interpretation has been entrusted to the bishops in communion with the successor of Peter, the Bishop of Rome."
CCC 86 "YET THIS MAGISTERIUM IS NOT SUPERIOR TO THE WORD OF GOD, BUT IS ITS SERVANT. It teaches only what has been handed on to it. At the divine command and with the help of the Holy Spirit, it listens to this devotedly, guards it with dedication, and expounds it faithfully. All that it proposes for belief as being divinely revealed is drawn from this single deposit of faith."
CCC 890 "The mission of the Magisterium is linked to the definitive nature of the covenant established by God with his people in Christ. IT IS THIS MAGISTERIUM'S TASK TO PRESERVE GOD'S PEOPLE FROM DEVIATIONS AND DEFECTIONS AND TO GUARANTEE THEM THE OBJECTIVE POSSIBILITY OF PROFESSING THE TRUE FAITH WITHOUT ERROR. Thus, the pastoral duty of the Magisterium is aimed at seeing to it that the People of God abides in the truth that liberates. To fulfill this service, Christ endowed the Church's shepherds with the charism of infallibility in matters of faith and morals. The exercise of this charism has several forms."
The belief in predestination is one of the pillars of islam. It is one of the fundamental beliefs which have to be believed for every muslim. What predestination means is that, Allah swt has knowledge of every thing, and everything happens with His will. So, basically, the belief in predestination requires us to believe in the following things;
the knowledge of everything rests with Allah and He knows everything about everything.
Allah swt has written everything about universe and all that is beyond and within it, in loh-e mahfooz.
Everything happens by the will of Allah swt.
He is the creator of everything.
These four points form the basis of the belief in predestination. Some people has misinterpreted predestination as the idea that we have no free will and that whatever we do is already pre set. These people then blame their fate for everything that happens to them. But this is very extreme and total opposite. It is a bit complex to understand fate but once its done, it becomes crystal clear. Lets take the example of a robot. The creator of the robot knows what its capabilities are. Robot does what its meant to do. Now induce the concept of artificial Intelligence into this robot. This robot now has improved free will, but still it has a pre set course. It will choose from a preset values or instructions but in the end, what it means to achieve, it will.
Humans are the best creation. We are given free will and we are given the leave to choose. But in the end, it is the will of Allah swt that sets the things right. This is why, we wait for the divine justice and a miracle to happen. Allah swt has mentioned about the concept of predestination in Quran on various places as well, like in the following verses, He swt say;
"Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine preordainment of all things before their creation as written in the Book of Decrees AlLawh AlMahfooz)"
[al-Qamar 54:49]
"No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but it is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (AlLawh AlMahfooz) before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allaah"[al-Hadeed 57:22]
There are ahadith as well which describe the belief in predestination. The following haadith says;
'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'Aas said:
I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: "Allaah wrote down the decrees of creation fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth." He said: "And His Throne was upon the water."Muslim (2653)
The concept of prayer (dua) further explains the predestination. There are many things that we do not understand even about our own life. If we were totally bound, then the purpose of our creation has no meaning. If we were given total free will, then the concept of God would have no meaning. Our very existence itself is the is biggest proof of the belief in predestination.

The Schooling of Imputed Righteousness DefendedIN A Chat PREACHED IN LONDON IN THE See 1759by William RomaineAll right shall one say, in the Peer of the realm bear I righteousness. (Isaiah 45:24)He hath through him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we country be through the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)All the same Christ knew no sin, yet he was through sin. How may possibly that be? How may possibly he be through sin, who knew no sin? He was through sin, not close to, but by imputation. He had no sin naturally in him, but had sin imputed to him, the same as the Peer of the realm laid upon him the iniquities of us all. In his own gather portray was no geographical locality or score of sin, or any such thing. He may possibly not adjoin the filthiness of sin, nor may possibly he close to know its soiled, defiling disposition. He was not a drunkard, a whoremonger, a thief, or at all you phrase a offender as such. He neither was a offender close to, nor had he ever the smallest inclination to be so; ever since his phantom was always in sparkle concord with the phantom of God. From whence it appears that Christ was not through a pesky offender, nor yet a acute offender as to the attach importance to and tip of sin. In this affection he was not good quality of individual through sin. he did not, as to himself, good point the charge of sin, for which he suffered. Apology is due to transgressors, but Christ had not transgressed. Instantly the same as he suffered, according to St. Peter, he was blameless, and in a minute in himself; 1 Pet. 3:18, "Christ also hath gone suffered for sin, the blameless for the unjust." He was anyhow blameless, and accordingly good quality of import tax to consider for the unjust, that as no testing was due to him, the attach importance to of what he suffered country be imputed unto them. And so it was. He merrily entered during an need to stand in the place of the unjust, and to feeling the charge due to them, and this with his own lower yourself the Peer of the realm laid upon him, and in this dispute he was through sin for us. He was through sin in the incredibly way that we are through in a minute. Now the righteousness by which we are very well is not geographical in ourselves, but it is in Christ, and is through ours blunt God's imputing it to us. In equal manner our sins were not geographical in Christ, but imputed to him and laid upon him. He was standing by to become our firmness, and to utter for our sins and to bear them imputed to him, so as to be obliged to standstill the charge of them, even the rage and curse, which, if he had not endured them, would bear sunk each one of us during the pit of hell. But Christ his own self bare them in his own corpse upon the tree. As the firmness of all that shall total in him he undertook to utter all the coerce which law and justness had upon them. And he was standing by to bear all their sins imputed to him, and to be found to his kind, that he country make somebody's day for them. In this way we read that he was gone unfilled to standstill the sins of repeated, and that by his own blood he obtained eternal redemption for them. To the same extent their iniquities were laid upon him, despite the fact that he knew no sin, yet he knew what it was to consider for sin. He died the death and endured the pains, which were in disposition and batch due to them for their sins, and for the full jubilation of law and justness. In this dispute Christ was through sin; but what would this avail, if he was a pond man? He country be through sin, and country consider, but not for us. The apostle says, in my script, he was through sin for us. So was helpful to us, necessary be disdainful than at all, and may possibly be nought adroit of divine. Christ's accomplishments were too spicy to be performed by any gather less than the furthermost high God. And thus the scripture teaches us, that Christ was Jehovah, the true self-existent God, a co-equal and co-eternal gather with the Blood relation and the Sanctified Apparition, and in his gather God and man were coupled in one Christ. By this good syndicate, what the independence did and suffered partook of the incalculable attach importance to of the Godhead. The independence of Christ had no sin in it, and accordingly what it suffered for the sin imputed to it, was hugely meritorious, ever since he who suffered was God as well as man. This furthermost fairylike speak to of bringing repeated sons unto glory, was insincere by the ever blessed Trinity, and peopled by the trade of feeling. God the Son was elated to become their firmness, and to stand up in their disposition to act and to consider for them. And what he undertook he may possibly not go down of accomplishing; for all fabric are counterpart capability to his almighty power. To the same extent he acted for his organization, he was God as well as man, his punish was accordingly divine and incalculable, and by the merits of it shall repeated be through in a minute. To the same extent he suffered for his organization, his sufferings were of such incalculable attach importance to and value that by his stripes they are healed and flowing from testing. He took their griefs and carried their sorrows, that they country never fell them. To the same extent he died, and compensated the debt to justness, which they ought to bear compensated, he immediately brought them a discharge: for despite the fact that he was cadaverous and descended during hell, yet on the third day he rose once again from the dead, and thereby demonstrated, that all the ends were answered, for which he was through sin for them.Show, my Christian brethren, let us stop and admire the free love and sonorous mercy of our Divine Redeemer. He, the furthermost high God, blessed for ever, condescended to be through man for us, and for our salvation. O fairylike condescension! that portray duty be any mercy for such enemies and rebels as we bear been, and how did he fan the flames of his indulgent, that the same as he country in justness bear ruined us, yet he humbled himself and stooped down to save us! But how spicy was his embarrassment in vouchsafing to state on him the form of a servant, and to survive in require and contempt. Later who it was that became a man of sorrows, and familiar with compunction, we see the final amazing thing of all, the dilution of his embarrassment. He that was the smallest upon earth, was the highest in heaven. He came down to be through sin for us, to bear our sins imputed to him, and to utter for them to law and justness. In this way they were laid upon him, and he bare them in his own corpse on the top, and thereby saved us from our sins. Spiritual, for ever blessed be the name of our definite Redeemer. Success, and honour, and recollection never-ceasing be to him, who took all our testing upon himself, ever since he may possibly standstill that which we may possibly not, and ever since he may possibly make somebody's day for that in a adroit time, which we may possibly not in eternity, and who, having as a result delivered us from sin and testing, has righteousness to impute unto us, in which we may stand competent at the bar of justness. Oh let us cheer him with our swagger and lives, who was through sin for us, that he country be through righteousness to us, which is the third target I was to argue. He was a flawless mutton, and accordingly good quality of individual through sin for us, that we country be through the righteousness of God in him. Righteousness is a sparkle settlement to the law and phantom of God, and without this no man shall see the Lord: "For the unrighteous shall not assent the catch of God," 1 Cor. 6:9, and we are all unrighteous, ever since we bear all sinned and robbed God of his glory. The subject along with is, In what way or by what reasoning can we achieve righteousness? Can we achieve it by the works of the law? No, it is impossible; ever since, if it was possible by our own works, along with we duty be naturally in a minute, and duty bear such a righteousness as the law demands; but the law coerce sparkle unsinning punish, which we bear not compensated it. And upon our careless to pay it, the law pronounces us acute, passes discovery, and foliage us, as to no matter what we can do, for ever under the curse, it individual the permanent control of the almighty Law-giver, that since all flesh has sinned and smashed the law, accordingly by the works of the law shall no flesh be very well. But if sinners cannot be very well by any geographical righteousness, what righteousness bear they to call at the bar of justice? They bear a righteousness reasonably sparkle and keep alive, called in scripture the righteousness of God, ever since the Peer of the realm our righteousness insincere and wrought it out. He came during the world, and took flesh in order to gratify all righteousness. By his punish and testing he comprehensive all the coerce of law and justness, and compensated that very big debt which none of us may possibly pay, and hereby he was through of God unto us righteousness: God the Blood relation constituted and predetermined him to be the sparkle righteousness of believers. In him is their righteousness, "Their righteousness is of me, said the Peer of the realm." (Isaiah 54:17) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. If you ask how the righteousness of distinctive can be through yours? it necessary be in the incredibly way that Christ was through sin. He had no sin of his own, and yet he was through sin by imputation; and believers bear no righteousness of their own, and yet are through in a minute by imputation. Christ had no geographical sin of his own, nor bear they any geographical righteousness; but he was through sin by having their sins imputed to him, and they are through in a minute by having his righteousness imputed to them. The manner of God's at is the incredibly in every bags. To the same extent the Psalmist says, "Spiritual is the man to whom the Peer of the realm imputeth not wickedness," how is this to be understood? Has he no wickedness in him? Yes, he has cool and geographical sin, and if he says he has no sin, he deceives himself; but he is a blessed man, ever since the Peer of the realm does not impute sin to him, nor charge him with it. So the same as David describeth the holiness of the man to whom God imputeth righteousness, has the man this righteousness in himself, and is he naturally righteous? No, but by an act of feeling God accounts him in a minute, and imputes righteousness unto him, and accordingly he is blessed. And as a result God imputes righteousness to them who total, not for a righteousness which is in them, but for a righteousness which he imputes to them. As their iniquities were laid upon Christ, and jubilation for them artificial of him as debt is of the bondsman, despite the fact that he had none of the money, so is the righteousness of Christ laid upon them. In equal manner, as their sins were through his, so is his righteousness through theirs. He is sin for them, not naturally, but by imputation; and they righteousness blunt him, not naturally, but by imputation. This is the righteousness in which in competition a offender can stand acquitted at God's bar? Present-day he necessary make mention of this righteousness, even of this only: for none but this can utter the coerce of the law, and expiate the curse of it, and this righteousness can be through his by no other way than by God's imputing it to him; which, as it is the spicy truth rumored forth in my script, I phantom endeavour disdainful considerably to explain and protect by the instant reasons:And core, the state-owned law skilled this training very perfectly. Whenever a gather had sinned, he was to bring his expenditure to the priest, and to lay his hands upon its spray, confessing his sins chief it, and along with the guilt was transferred to the expenditure, and its blood was wrapping to be more precise of his. This is mentioned compound get older in Leviticus 4. And of the scapegoat we read, Lev. 16:21, "Aaron, shall lay every his hands upon the spray of the survive goat, and individual chief him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the spray of the goat." All the sins of the children of Israel were accepted chief to the goat, but were they put during the goat, or were they geographical in him? No, this is too cockamamie to be in name only, but they were put upon the goat. And this was a very mournful image of our sins individual laid upon Christ; for all the sacrifices represented him. As the scapegoat had imputed to him all the grassroots iniquities, so had Christ all his grassroots iniquities imputed to him; and as the goat did standstill upon him all their iniquities, so Christ did standstill all their sins in his own corpse upon the tree. So was prefigured by the type, was full by the life, the same as Christ suffered gone for sin, the blameless for the unjust: for along with he was through sin for us, that we country be through the righteousness of God in him. Our righteousness is in him; this is a -Detailed argument; That righteousness which is our instance previously God is IN Christ. Believers bear it not in themselves. They bear not an geographical righteousness wrought out and attained by their own works, but their mitigating righteousness was wrought out by distinctive, and it is in him. How along with can it be through theirs in any other way than by imputation? Condition it not be transferred to them in the incredibly way that their sins were transferred to him? And how were they transferred to him? They were imputed, not inherent; they were laid upon him, not during him. So his righteousness is in him, as their sins were in them, and it is imputed, not inherent; it is not put during them, but upon them. Their righteousness is in him, and he is the Peer of the realm their righteousness, and for this reason that righteousness for which they are very well, cannot be in them; but it is through theirs the same as God imputes it to them, and they by faith hold it. The manner of receipt it, which is by faith, is the -Third quarrel I shall bring in promote of the apostle's training. Recognition is the simply lackey which God is elated to use in applying Christ's righteousness. The apostle calls it the righteousness of faith, ever since faith in competition is employed in the importance of this righteousness. It is never called the righteousness of any other feeling, but of faith. We never read of the righteousness of meekness, docility, or charity; these are of spicy safekeeping in the outlook of God, but they bear no side in mitigating a offender. This belongs chastely to faith: for to him that worketh not, but believeth, is righteousness imputed. It is not by working, but by believing, that sinners are very well. To the same extent they are guaranteed of sin, find no righteousness in themselves, crash into the vile discovery of the law against the unrighteous, and grip in their acute consciences some of the miseries which they good point, along with they are motivated up to endeavor for a righteousness in which they may stand acquitted previously the judgment-seat of God. The scripture offers to them such a righteousness in Christ, and along with God enables them to rest and to rely upon it for their instance, they along with by faith bear tranquillity with God blunt Jesus Christ their Peer of the realm. Therefore the guaranteed offender is unintentional to endeavor a righteousness out of himself, and to rely upon the righteousness of distinctive, and how can this be through or accounted his in any other way, than by imputation? how can he be through in a minute in Christ, but by having Christ's righteousness imputed to him?

Pentecost Sunday and our Parliament prepares to debate the critical issues of the HFE Bill. Thirty people from Yorkshire gather at the site of the York Tyburn on the Knavesmire to celebrate the Mass of Pentecost. The platform where the scaffold once stood by the roadside was a place which witnessed the most powerful offering of life for Christ by so many. Here St Margaret Clitherow would come, at night, even before she was a Catholic, to pray after a priest had been hung, drwan and quatered - perhaps Blessed William Hart or Blessed Richard Thirkeld. Here Blessed Francis Ingleby, who she had harboured in her house, was excecuted. We came too in order to ask God, through the Mass, that the sacrifice of the Martyrs all those years ago might be effective for our nation and our culture today.
I was grateful to Fr Michael Kelly, also from Leeds, for coming out to join me in offering this Mass. We recalled the three day vigil of prayer and fasting which the Fathers of the London Charterhouse enjoined all those years ago in 1537 when the Oath of Supremacy was put to them, and how it was the Mass of the Holy Spirit offered by Fr John Houghton on the third day which broke the power of evil over them. Becuase of that Mass the whole community was able to witness to Christ with constancy and even joy. This was our prayer also; that the Holy Spirit would break the power of the culture of death in our country. Thanks also to Mike of the "Rudgate Singers "for providing the sung chants in Latin throughout this Penetcost Mass.

NOTE: Add-on Haughty Matter 14 SEPT 2012 The good sense of this target is to show to be false the "no freewill" arguments of Calvinists (and others who grasp to a shut converted theology) mobile that the Bible DOES teach freewill. I mettle start by laying a beginning. The Bible teaches us that God is full of Babe, Consideration, Adorn, He is Exactly so and Genuine in all His ways. Inhabit who teach that we accept no freewill in our helping hand and that purely community who God chooses as a result of His set example, mettle be saved, actually put down God's place by (formidably) teaching that God in His set example has twisted innumerable club deliberately predestining them to an eternal annoy of hell. This is actually vulgarity while it teaches whatever thing about God's appearance which is obviously untrue! Romans 8:32 says "He who did not Garbage His own Son". After that, why would He (out of a appearance of love) create humans to as a consequence send to an eternal hell (imperfect them when able to choice God)? Definite that would be the suitcase, if (as they teach) some accept no idiosyncrasy of sorry while they are not of the work out. If they are powerless of choosing God while they are Belated, as a consequence Zealously God has twisted souls to be angst-ridden for infinity. How can God be a God of Babe and moreover be Genuine and Exactly so if He did such things? How can you trust a God tenderness that? No discussion Incredulity has besotted on in a huge way while "how can you stick in a God tenderness that?" No, I cannot stick in a God tenderness that while that is NOT His appearance. Because about 2 Peter 3:9 "it is not God's Order that any obligation flee but that ALL obligation come to repentance". If we do not accept free mettle and cannot choice God (unless He chooses us) as a consequence anybody would be saved while that verse says that it is not His Order that any obligation flee. "who can sicken the Order of God?" Romans 9:19. At a standstill, we know that the Bible teaches that innumerable are on the vast method of separate and innumerable mettle not go to Paradise. After that, whatever thing does not add up. We know that the Bible is inerrant, but our line of manner (absolute theology) is fallible. After that community who teach in "no freewill" must be transgression (in the light of the best quality verse) and are formidably defaming the place of God by teaching that God is a impostor while they would accept to teach (to be accepted) that ALL would be saved, so exposed it teaches that not all would be saved. So establishing at hand is a enterprise with their theology, we must experience what the Total bible is Very teaching. With regard to cast your vote, I stick that itinerary that God knows the end from the beginning, so He knows in advance ALL community who mettle choice Him. They are correspondingly all (pre) preordained to become children of God and correspondingly formidably are the work out. In the awfully way that God foreknew "otherwise the beginning of the Property" of His redemption example in Jesus. "the beef that was slain otherwise the beginning of the Property" Amazement 13:8, i.e. He knew the end from the very beginning. It is not God's Order that any obligation flee but God has coherently point all men freewill to choice or reject Him. This is why not all are saved even though God loves the Total world (John 3:16). God wants anybody to choice Him and has reached down to us to reveal His lurid love and sent His Set apart Primary to convict all men of sin (John 16:8), but they can quiet (out of freewill) sicken God nonetheless everything God has done to aid us in choosing Him. This is obviously transparent in REALITY! In spite of that He quiet demonstrated His lurid love by humanitarian us His Son as a sacrificial victim. The scriptures are perceptive (to me) that community God saves are permanently detached by Him as ready in my target WHY Legitimate BELIEVERS ARE Continually Pole IN THEIR Exchange Inhabit who be dogmatic adjacent to free mettle start by assuming that Adam and Eve lost their freewill so they sinned while they devotedly "died". It is true that they died devotedly, but is it true that they lost their free will? Because actually happened? Their bodies were invented to go on endlessly, but their sin had a huge pertain on them. From that dash physical putrefy was set in pitch in their bodies, but poorer was that they became at odds from God devotedly. They quick-witted spiritual death which was in idea the spirit within their bodies dying. It is the spirit of man that can procession with God, but that was now exploited consequent in a dead spirit. This is not to be mislaid with the go of man which remained lurid but became a slave to the misbehaving requirements of the flesh. The scriptures are perceptive that man is complete up of scaffold, go and spirit - but that is pristine countrywide. In Ephesians 2:1 it says "And you He complete lurid, who were dead in trespasses and sins". The theme is at what concept were they complete alive? Was it otherwise they usual Christ now their hearts or afterwards? 2 Cor 5:17 states it was AFTERWARDS "After that, if self is in Christ, he is a new creation; old substance accept voted for away; watch, all substance accept become new". A individual becomes saved so they stick in Jesus and collect Him now their hearts. More or less the Set apart Primary makes us lurid so He comes within us and makes us a new business. Otherwise our spirit is quiet dead within our misbehaving appearance but our go is quiet Gifted to make the freewill ruling to collect Christ Otherwise. These preachers state that once Adam and Eve sinned they no longer had freewill. But, what about Cain who came nominated afterwards? Work out Commencement 4:6-7 "So the Lord alleged to Cain, 'Why are you angry? And why has your features fallen? If you do well, mettle you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the way in. And its desire is for you, but you obligation muscle refined it.' " Sounds tenderness Cain had freewill? They moreover quote from John 6 and John 15. At a standstill, they do not experience the context. It is central that we do experience the context. In John 6 Jesus is discussing the weather conditions that present club to choice or reject Jesus. The so-called "as it should be" Jews had habituated their hearts to the message of Jesus. Jesus as a consequence explained (in believably the highest heartbreaking verse in the payment - verse 44) "No one can come to Me unless the Lead who sent Me draws him". At a standstill, Jesus moreover stated "innumerable are called but few are fixed". If we experience the verse which says "it is not God's Order that ANY obligation flee but that ALL obligation come to repentance" as a consequence that implies freewill while God wants someone to be saved. Following Jesus alleged "innumerable are called" I am instinctive that itinerary (comparing scripture with scripture) that All is called. At a standstill, few counter to the scream i.e freewill prevents them. The fixed are community who DO counter.Because about John 15:16? " you did not choice me I chose you" Jesus was cry focus to the apostles about their career as apostles. But at hand over, God calls and chooses someone and gives plenty fancy to maintain them to repent but innumerable (using free mettle) determine to reject Christ. Meticulously no-one chooses Christ imperfect the work of the Set apart Primary. The Set apart Primary convicts us of graciousness, sin and judgement and reveals the truth about Jesus and His love, but He never services conveyance while God gave us freewill. Jesus chose the apostles and drew them once Him. Before Jesus called them to esteem Him, they were not alert. In fact Peter told Jesus to set aside from him. At a standstill, as God saw now the creature of David "a man once my own creature" so He saw now the hearts of the apostles and knew that these men would be advantageous to be His apostles. He chose them - they did not choice Him first but were won refined to esteem Jesus. BUT they quiet exercised free mettle. Jesus "chose" the apostles to be special ministers for scattering the gospel by means of the world. Jesus is not speech about the "work out". Canto 19 says: "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet while you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, correspondingly the world hates you". The authority of this teaching is that Jesus Split and empowered the apostles from the stains of the Sphere for a special ministry. He chose to disaffiliate them. It is not speech about "cast your vote" stylish. God's eternal example is that ALL who come to Him mettle be then traditional to be at odds from the "love of this world" and mettle be enabled to do so by the power of the Set apart Primary. God reveals His love to innumerable and by HIS power convicts them of sin but nonetheless all this On the other hand few counter to it while they DO accept freewill as was ready in the best quality reproduction of Cain. The sticky Definite must be that God HAS point us free mettle to choice or reject Him, but if we choice Him, He as a consequence enables us to collect Him and as a consequence empowers us to be detached by Him permanently. Following the bible discusses predestination and cast your vote I understand it to mean that God knew in advance who would collect or reject Him. He knew from the very beginning of time! After that, formidably the work out are fixed, fixed while God sees the end from the beginning. The key to understanding these substance highly is by having a modify front door to our theology. I use a absolute front door by studying the Total Bible to understand the whole assistance and eternal example of God with all its micro and total parts Before I produce my theology. Chief I produce FROM SCRIPTURE the essential starting points of my tolerate For reproduction, that the Bible is the expressive Word of God, formidably written by God correspondingly is very true and can be trusted. God exists and consists in 3 persons as a Godhead, that He is eternal, immense, omniscient and terrible (all of these are coherently qualified in Scripture). That man is a reprobate who needs to be saved and Jesus died to allotment us from our sins. Plus, what the Bible tells us about God's Participate, eg He is Set apart, Immaculate, Genuine and Exactly so and is Babe. He is exact and His strategy and purposes are beyond repair (of course these are well a few examples of innumerable certainties). These certainties are the beginning for interpreting all other scripture. We must unendingly stick these substance in mind. With regard to the roughly theologies tenderness Calvinism, Arminianism etc., they go ancient history these substance and hypothesize other substance to be true (gnostic philosophies) Otherwise and as a consequence go about proving it from scripture. The really front door obligation be to produce theology from the starting tolerate of the Biblical certainties and as a consequence for eternity become licensed and look at the wide-ranging theological tolerate as we go nominated, whenever we are proved really or transgression by scripture. My wide-ranging tolerate had previously been unwavering by innumerable years of studying the Bible, so I logically dip into, look at and become licensed this tolerate in the light of newer scriptural protest march. For reproduction, I perpetually readjust my eschatological tolerate and thereby am virtuous to learn SO Far away Haughty concerning the end get older Following I use the form total I mean the external vast outworkings and by micro I mean its simply record hidden working and how it can be practicable to us expressly. As an reproduction, total may perhaps focus on to "the eternal redemptive example of God" amid "subsequent to saved unendingly saved" whilst micro may perhaps focus on to "all substance work together for our good" Romans 8:28 or "we are when special from one quantity of majesty to pristine" 2 Corinthians 3:18. I stick the be au fait with of my front door is that I am open plenty to look after teachable by the Set apart Primary (not brainwashed now any record absolute theology) and despicable plenty to shape my theology. My front door enables me to dip into Every one word, assessment, vestibule, payment, book, in the Bible, expressly accomplishment these words now their really context and NOT disregard at all.Fascinate Bang stylish for part 2 of this target entitled "Romans Segment 9 DOES NOT Confute Freewill but Very Reinforces It. Looking At The Context Of The Total Convey of Romans". For even above on this countrywide at ease experience this target NEW CALVINISM. EXPLAINING AND Exposing THIS Original ECUMENICAL AND Renegade Occupation WHICH IS Cargo THE Church BY Storm
"It is all too easy to read the traditional interpretations we have received from others into the text of Scripture. Then we may unwittingly transfer the authority of Scripture to our interpretations and invest them with a false, even an idolatrous, degree of certainty. Because traditions are re-shaped as they are passed on, after a while we may drift far from God's Word while still insisting all our theological opinions are "biblical" and therefore true."
Some theological opinions that people have read into scripture:
* The belief that salvation is by FAITH ALONE (disregarding any role that works play in our eternal destiny)
* The belief that THE BIBLE IS THE ONLY WAY in which God can share truth with his people
* ACCEPTING JESUS AS "SAVIOR AND LORD" is how to be "born-again"
* BAPTISM IS A SYMBOLIC public gesture to represent what has already occurred spiritually
* The EUCHARIST IS SYMBOLIC and the bread and wine remain.... bread and wine.
* ONCE YOU ARE "SAVED" you can't lose your salvation
* The RAPTURE is when Jesus returns and takes believers with him leaving unsaved behind
These are just a few examples of "traditional interpretations" received from others that have been read into the text of Scripture. However, these traditional interpretations cannot be found in the writings of theologians, early Church fathers and the apostles themselves who wrote scripture under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit before the 16th century. So one must either believe that all those before the 16th century "got it wrong" which necessitates the belief that the Holy Spirit was unable to lead the Church in all truth or, there was a secret hidden group of persecuted true believers since John the Baptist who held to these above "traditions." Or the other possibility is that those who hold these post reformation beliefs are guilty of "investing" scripture with their own tradition at the same time insisting they are all "biblical."
Oh, yeah.... The author of the initial statement is none other than Dr. D.A. Carson, Protestant theologian. Sounds like he has been reading from the Church fathers:
"...owing to the depth of Holy Scripture, all do not accept it in one and the same sense, but one understands its words in one way, another in another; so that it seems to be capable of as many interpretations as there are interpreters. " (ST.VINCENT OF LERINS 5TH CENTURY)
How obligation evangelicals understand Joseph Smith Jr., organization seer and person in command of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? Typically, with their heaviness on doctrinal obedience and the indication of true seer vs. disloyal seer, evangelicals claim tended to view Smith for the period of the lens of heresy. For instance such considerations obligation not be unsolicited by evangelicals, they warrant as well as be imaginary as limiting in requisites of what we warrant understand about Smith himself as well as the Mormon trust he helped craft.A sympathetic weight is open that provides ultra interpretive assurance. It is Joseph Smith Jr.: Reappraisals in arrears Two Centuries, condensed by Reid L. Neilson their authors propose their own solutions.Evangelicals chi most apt be concerned in Richard Mouw's consent to to this assortment with his payment "The Likely of Joseph Smith: Dependable Evangelical Probings." Trendy Mouw takes his cue from a very late nineteenth century work by Herman Bavinck, described by by Mouw as "a staunch armor of Calvinist obedience." Verbal skill to fellow Calvinists about the pilfer for rough in taking into consideration Islam, as well as other non-Christian religions, Bavinck wrote (as cited by Mouw):In the past the study of religions was pursued distinctively in the establishment of dogmatics and apologetics. The founders of [non-Christian] religions, imagine Mohammed, were handily considered imposters, enemies of God, and accomplices of the devil. But ever to the same degree inhabit religions claim become exclusive in focus acknowledged, this interpretation has proved to be untenable; it clashed each with history and psychology.Mouw was overwhelmed by Bavinck's views. He writes,Bavinck's remark that Islam has "become exclusive in focus acknowledged" is even exclusive touching now than when he open it in his nineteenth-century context. For one thing, we claim come to understand leader Islam as a ecological unit of assiduousness. In the premature days, Islam was seen first and foremost as a political and aggressive threat--a restriction wherein it is ever attractive to demonize one's enemies. If, in spite of that, we are restricted an expectations to study and chatter with the other group's actual teachings in a dense sense, we requisite fight with the admiration of how inhabit teachings claim actually stimulated hooligan commitments in the lives of articulate the social order who fatally plight their teachings.Mouw goes on to dispute that Bavinck's virtually provides history for Christians in the exclusive test evaluate of non-Christian religions. Likewise, Mouw argues that this incredibly virtually can and obligation be feasible by evangelicals in their assessments of Joseph Smith Jr., therefore transfer broader interpretive assurance. For inhabit evangelicals willing to plight such a posture, this weight provides a copy of exciting insights at home Mormonism's origins for design. For example, Mouw record that Smith's theology "emerged in an ecological unit bent tragically by the high Calvinism of New England Puritanism." Catherine Albanese record the metaphysical influences in Smith's culture in the form of hermeticism and Swedenborgianism. Richard Brodhead chairs Smith's conceptions of prophethood in the context of "forms of prophetism in the American 1830s." Margaret Barker and Kevin Christensen submit that "an essential distinguishing individual of Mormonism -- [is] the draft of the magic and the mystic" in poles of drink. And Laurie Maffly-Kipp encourages the reconnaissance of the LDS Church's temple rituals not emphatically from the viewpoint of Masonic influences, but as well as "as a resist doubt not keen the weighty premises of Protestant revivalism."In the remain motionless of this researcher, since evangelicals obligation not purge the true/false seer dichotomy within spring theological frameworks, this obligation not be imaginary as the emphatically context in which to sense of balance or understand Joseph Smith and Mormonism. Broader interpretive assurance become visible that chi strengthen our understanding of the origins, increase, and continuing notice of Smith and his teachings. Joseph Smith Jr.: Reappraisals in arrears Two Centuries provides evangelicals with a template and assurance that overdo our views of a overall religion, and the trust of our neighbors and friends.
The Rev. Christopher Harner leads his first service Sunday as pastor of Holy Trinity and St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church in Jackson. In the coming years, the congregation plans to relocate to Lakeland Drive in Rankin County.
"The Rev. Christopher Harner is welcomed by Cherylynn Horvath (right) and her son Elgin Horvath during a reception Sunday at Holy Trinity and St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church in Jackson. Orthodoxy is on the rise in the South."
About Orthodoxy
Origin: The Orthodox Church has existed in the Middle East and Greece from the time of the apostles. It is the majority Christian faith in the Middle East, Greece, Romania, Serbia and Russia.
Worship: Called the Divine Liturgy, Orthodox worship expresses the Christian faith in a continuous song of praise and prayer to God.The entire service (except for the sermon) is sung, mostly to chants and melodies. No instruments are used. The words are all from Scripture or ancient Christian texts.
Icons: Icons are paintings of Christ and the saints that have been painted according to a strict tradition because they are a means of passing on the faith. Icons and crosses are venerated, but not worshipped, as a sign of the belief that in Christ God took a physical body and became part of the physical world so we could know him. Other human beings who unite themselves with Christ become holy and the image of God becomes visible in them, so their icons are honored as well.
Prayers and hymns: Standard prayers and hymns are used rather than extemporaneous or modern ones because they contain the accumulated insights of many centuries of Christians. Most are packed with biblical quotations. They are chanted or sung rather than spoken so worshippers are less conscious of the personality of the individual reader.Source: Holy Resurrection Church, Clinton.

Jackson's only Greek Orthodox church got its start in the 1950s when local Greek immigrants raised money to buy property on West Capitol Street and recruited a priest from Greece to lead the congregation.A half century later, the church is welcoming a new priest and is planning a move that may raise the profile of Orthodox Christians in the region.
"Our current bishop has the goal of evangelizing the Southeast," said the Rev. Christopher Harner, who met his new flock at Holy Trinity and St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church Sunday. "He feels that Jackson is an area that could have a lot of evangelism for the Orthodox church."An Ohio native, Harner, 45, is taking the helm of the historic church as it moves toward the suburbs. Within three years, the congregation plans to build a new house of worship on land it owns on Lakeland Drive in Rankin County.
The church bought the property more than a decade ago with plans to someday relocate outside downtown Jackson."We really didn't know it was going to get that popular," parish council president Theo Mavridoglou said about the burgeoning development along Lakeland Drive. "Everything is moving in that direction."
Part of the reason for the church's move is that the 1950s-era building is aging and it sustained damage in 2005 from hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Mavridoglou said.Another reason has to do with changing demographics. Not only is the congregation no longer predominantly Greek, most members don't live near the church.
Church membership peaked in the 1960s with some 200 families. Today, 85 families belong to the church, Mavridoglou said, including a sizable number of converts as well as people from such places as Romania and Ethiopia."We have more converts than we have Greeks," he said. "The reason people convert is they see the traditional aspect of the Orthodox church."
Orthodox Christians trace their roots directly to the church founded by Jesus' apostles.Orthodoxy has three main branches in the United States, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, the Orthodox Church of America and the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese. The church bodies are not administratively linked, but most churches are in communion with one another.
Though Orthodoxy encompasses a variety of cultural distinctions - including Greek, Ukrainian, Russian and Romanian - its fundamental beliefs are the same.Orthodox churches are often known for their icons, which are ornate paintings of Jesus, the Virgin Mary and the saints. When Holy Trinity and St. John the Theologian moves to its new location, it will take along all of its paintings and its altar.
"Everything inside the church will go with us," said Sharon Mavridoglou, who's an active parishioner and is married to Theo Mavridoglou. "All the icons and the whole iconostasis."Mavridoglou said she's excited about her new priest because he's young, enthusiastic - and like many in his new flock - he's a convert.
He's also a career-changer.Harner worked for more than 16 years as a fire protection consultant before heeding his spiritual call.
The married father of four joined the seminary when his youngest child reached school age."I was able to pursue the call to the priesthood that I knew was always there but I kept wanting to put off," he said.
Harner's move toward the priesthood came about 10 years after his conversion to Orthodoxy from the Presbyterian church. He said he felt led to the Orthodox church when he started to ask questions about church doctrine and tradition.
"It took me several years of arguing with myself saying, 'Is it that important to jump?' " he said about converting. "Once I determined that really the Orthodox church was the church that kept its apostolic succession, that taught the same things that were taught in the apostolic age... yes, it was significant enough for me to jump."Finding the Orthodox church in Ohio wasn't difficult, Harner said, as Orthodoxy is more prevalent there than in Mississippi. Though Orthodox Christians remain a minority in the state, their presence is growing. In 2005 there were six Orthodox churches or missions in Mississippi. Today there are eight throughout the state.
That growth reflects a trend around the South and West.Over the last 30 years, Orthodox churches in the southern United States have multiplied from a handful of congregations mainly in Florida and Texas to more than 60 churches and missions stretching from Virginia to New Mexico.
Along with reaching out to new members, Harner hopes to strengthen Orthodoxy within his own congregation with programs such as adult education classes and more effective youth ministries."My expectation is I will help the people of the parish grow closer to God," he said. "I want to make certain that folks understand what it means to be an Orthodox Christian." SOURCE:
There was some concern by myself and others that everything to do with communion at the opening of the 220th General Assembly was draped in the rainbow. The dancers, the communion table and even the cross. But several other people (in our little discussion) said that after all it belongs to those who uphold the authority of Scripture and claim Christ as Lord. It is a covenant given to God's people, symbolized by the rainbow.
So although it might have been a symbol used to point to a denomination filled with a radical diversity, or a pointer to the diversity of God's creation, nonetheless God's beautiful promise and our circumstances have another meaning.
The rainbow drapery on the cross should remind all that in that cross there is hope for those who are sexually broken. The rainbow in Scriptures is one of God's pointers to the cross. It is a remembrance of mercy and forgiveness on God's part. It is God's gift after wrath, yet it is a remembrance that the flood of water covered sin and killed the sinner. But there is another flood that washes clean and renews and transforms the sinner. That is the blood of Jesus.
"If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each ones work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with the precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ." (1 Peter 1: 17-18"
Because the LGBTQ community has chosen the rainbow symbol and now it is connected to the cross, as it should have been, they are combined symbols that the Holy Spirit can use to both enlighten and convict the sinner of their sexual brokenness. The Holy Spirit is always wooing us to Christ. The Father is always pleading with us to come to Christ. The Israelites in the desert looked to a bronze serpent and were healed. May the community that we are all in prayer for look to the cross of Jesus understanding that he forgives, saves and transforms.

Despite having posted on the Mass multiple times over the years on this blog I continue to be amazed at how the early Christians worshiped almost identically to the way in which we do now.
From Calvin College's Christian Classics site, I have posted a treatise on early christian worship by Protestant theologian H.R. Percival. He based it on his study of the writings of the Didache, St. Cyril of Jerusalem and St. John Chrysostom.
Geez, now why didn't my pastors and bible study leaders tell me about these writings when we were trying to emulate the New Testament Church? Would have saved a whole lot of trouble for me over the years!
"The congregation is gathered together, the men on one side, the women on the other, the clergy in the apsidal chancel. The readings immediately begin; they are interrupted by chants. A reader ascends the ambo, which stood in the middle of the Church, between the clergy and the people and reads two lessons; then another goes up in his place to sing a psalm.... When the lessons and psalmodies are done, the priests take the word, each in his turn and after them the bishop. The series ended with a lection from the Gospel, which is made not by a reader, but by a priest or deacon. (So it is at the present time.)
"After the sermon the sending out of the different categories of persons, who should not assist at the holy Mysteries, take place. When there remain in the Church only the faithful communicants, these fall to prayer. ('Depart all ye Cathechumens: let no Cathechu-mens remain: but let us who are in the faith again, yet again, in peace pray unto the Lord,' is retained in the Liturgy and is in use now.) Deacon says the litany and to all these petitions is added Kyrie eleison. Then the voice of the bishop rises in the silence he pronounces a solemn prayer of a grave and majestic style. Here ends the first part of the liturgy. The second part, the Christian liturgy properly so called, begins by the salutation of the bishop, followed by the response of the people. Then, at the sign given by a deacon, the clergy receive the kiss of peace from the bishop, and the faithful give it to each other, men to men, women to women.
"Then the deacons and the other lower ministery divide themselves between watching and serving at the altar.... This is a solemn moment. After private prayer the bishop makes the sign of the cross upon his brow and begins.
* 'The grace of God Almighty, and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you always.'
* 'And with thy Spirit.'
* 'Lift up your hearts.'
* 'We lift them up unto the Lord.'
* 'It is meet and right so to do.'
"And the eucharistic prayer goes on, concluding where the Cherubim and the Seraphim eternally make heaven ring with the Trisagion. Here the whole multitude of the people lift up their voices and joining their song with that of the Choir of Angels, sing 'Holy, Holy, Holy, etc.' (We have all this in our Liturgy now. - B.T.) When the hymn is done and silence returns the bishop continues the interrupted eucharistic prayer. Then, taking his inspiration from the last words, 'Do this in remembrance of Me,' the bishop develops the idea re-calling the Passion of the Son of God, His death, His resurrection, His ascension, the hope of His glorious return, and declaring that it is in order to observe this precept and make this memorial that the congregation offers to God this eucharistic bread and wine.
"Finally the Bishop prays the Lord to turn upon the Oblation a favorable regard, and to send down upon it the power of His Holy Spirit, to make it the Body and Blood of Christ, the spiritual food of His faithful and the pledge of their immortality (all this is observed now.)
"The mystery is consummated. The bishop then directs the prayers. After this is said 'Our Father.' The bishop then pro-nounces his benediction on the people.
The deacon awakens the attention of the faithful and the bishop cries aloud, 'Holy things for holy persons.' And the people answer, 'There is one only holy, one holy Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father, Amen.' No doubt at this moment took place the fraction of the bread, a ceremony which the documents of the fourth century do not mention in express terms (no doubt it did as it does now. - B.T.) The communion then follows. The bishop receives first, then the priests, the deacons, the subdeacons, the readers, the singers, the ascetics, the deaconesses, the virgins, the widows, the little children and last of all the people. The bishop places the con-secrated bread in the right hand, which is open, and supported by the left; the deacon holds the chalice - they drink out of it directly. To each communicant the bishop says, 'The Body of Christ,' and the deacon (now bishop) says, 'The Blood of Christ, the Cup of life,' which is answered, 'Amen.' During the communion the singers execute Psalm XXXIII (34) Benedicam Dominum, in which the words '0, taste and see how gracious the Lord is,' have a special suitability (it is in use now). When the communion is done the deacon gives the sign for prayer, which the bishop offers in the name of all ('0 Lord, who blesses those that bless Thee,' now is read generally by the priest. - B.T.) then all bow to receive the blessing. Finally the deacon dismisses the congregation, saying, 'Go in peace.' (Bishop or priest does this now.)"
Three possible conclusions to be drawn from this are:
A: The early Church had gotten it terribly wrong already by the second and third century and this sacrifice of the altar was a complete mis-interpretation of what our Lord intended at the last supper. (Despite the fact that no writings exist to suggest there was an alternate and equally acceptable form of weekly worship which included a symbolic presentation of the Lord's supper.)
B. The writings of the early church were actually written in the 11th century by a corrupted Catholic Church to justify the newly invented doctrine of transubstantiation and were doctored up to appear historic. There has always been a hidden persecuted true church of believers worshiping in secret and the ruling Catholics destroyed any evidence of their existence in the history books.
C. This early Church described above in their beliefs and practices is the Church that traces its lineage to Jesus and the apostle's teachings and continues forward through history today as the Catholic Church.
