Bom. antes de comecar a compartilhar alguns dos meus h'abitos m'agicos, contarei um pouco da minha hist'oria no decorrer dos meus 22 anos de idade.
Sei que muitas pessoas passam pelo que eu passei e ainda passo e ficarei feliz se meus relatos ajudarem aos que vivem a minha situac~ao saibam que n~ao est~ao sozinhos.
Eu despertei para o ocultismo muito cedo. Desde novinha eu era curiosa com relac~ao ao mundo espiritual que n~ao conseguia ver e entender.
Nasce em uma fam'ilia evang'elica e durante a minha inf^ancia eu segui fielmente a doutrina crist~a. Mas com o tempo, minha mente n~ao se satisfez mais com as respostas que n~ao respondiam minhas perguntas e comecei ent~ao a procurar outras doutrinas.
Quando crianca eu me sentia inferior as outras por motivos de n~ao aceitac~ao com meu problema gen'etico no qual deixou pequenas sequelas em minha apar^encia f'isica. Sou muito baixa e demorou muito pra que meu corpo desenvolvesse de infantil para "adulto".
Como sempre fui muito falante e carente de atenc~ao ningu'em percebia o que acontecia comigo de verdade, eu era mestra em disfarcar a minha dor, mascarando um lado obscuro dentro de mim que crescia que at'e eu mesmo tinha medo.
Aos 6 anos percebi que era capaz de fazer coisas que outras n~ao podiam, aprendi a manipular a vontade das pessoas com facilidade e quando sentia raiva de algu'em, logo um "acidente" ou algo de ruim acontecia com o alvo de minha f'uria.
Como o assunto do sobrenatural na minha fam'ilia sempre foi um enorme tabu por causa da religi~ao a qual meu pais s~ao devotos n~ao comentava com ningu'em as coisas que ia desenvolvendo as escondidas.
Ent~ao nessa 'epoca, onde n~ao havia ningu'em para me orientar, comecei a pesquisar sobre a magia e o ocultismo e a praticar o que achava interessante.
Ao praticar a magia sem ser devidamente guiada e orientada utilizava minhas capacidades para meu bel prazer e tamb'em com sentimento de revolta contra os que de mim debochavam e aproveitavam da minha ingenuidade.
Com 9 nove anos eu j'a sabia fazer certos rituais e invocar entidades para que acatassem meus pedidos e fazia feiticos centralizando vinganca. Ou seja, eu utilizava a magia de forma negra. Esclarecendo que na verdade a magia n~ao tem cor como 'e rotulada, branca ou negra... Magia 'e magia e pronto. O que muda 'e a forma que ela 'e utilizada e para que fins s~ao praticadas.
Sem ter muita noc~ao das consequ^encias dos meus atos fui adoecendo. Pois todo mal que invoquei se voltou contra mim de forma terr'ivel. N~ao conseguia dormir, meu corpo ficou fr'agil e tive problemas de depress~ao, meu desempenho nos estudos virou um desastre total.
Assim fui tentando sobreviver at'e que conheci a Wicca atrav'es de uma pessoa que tive contato em uma das muitas escolas pela qual passei.
Finalmente compreendi que tudo aquilo era devido as consequ^encias de toda magia que eu praticara de forma ruim e passei a estudar a wicca de forma aprofundada.
Como n~ao podia realmente participar de grupos e covens por causa dos meus pais tive apenas uma mentora tempor'aria que me ensinou a caminhar com minhas pr'oprias pernas e a assumir as consequ^encias dos meus atos.
Sozinha eu aprendi coisas maravilhosas que irei compartilhar nas pr'oximas postagens e acabei melhorando.
Mas todos esses anos tive de manter todo um sigilo por causa da intoler^ancia da sociedade perante o sobrenatural(que pra mim n~ao existe na verdade pois a magia na minha vida 'e algo completamente natural).
Mas n~ao foi f'acil me livrar de todas as entidades ruins que eu atra'i e invoquei ingenuamente.
A magia deve ser respeitada por todos que a conhecem e praticam e sempre tendo ci^encia de que o mal que 'e feito volta contra a pessoa que o gerou.
Perdi muita coisa durante a caminhada, vivendo uma vida dupla pela metade.
N~ao 'e facil ser uma bruxa declarada, o preconceito 'e grande demais.
Mas digo aos irm~aos e irm~as que passam por isso: forca, imponham-se.
Aqueles que te renegam por causa de suas crencas e n~ao respeitam seus sentimentos n~ao devem ser motivo para que se esconda.
Hoje toda a minha fam'ilia sabe das minhas crencas e a maioria n~ao aprova. Mas pelo menos posso viver uma vida plena e minha, n~ao uma vida dupla de fingimentos e hipocrisias. Ajudo e ensino novatos na antiga arte e nos caminhos da Deusa em que eu fui acolhida com amor. Os que me procuram por ajuda, acolho-os de corac~ao pois esta 'e a minha miss~ao.

A Super Moon Looms
Just like the New Moon on May 5th which brought Cyclone Nargis, tomorrow's lunation @ 12:23 PM PDT is dubbed a Super Moon per Richard Nolle. Super Moons are in perigee (closest to the Earth). We may be in for another round of extreme coastal tides, severe storms and major seismic activity (more magnitude 5+ earthquakes and volcanic eruptions). Using AstroCartography we see that a strong line formed by Sun-Moon-Venus-Mercury runs from N to South @ 111 to 115 West Longitude from Canada thru the Rockies down to Baja. NOTE: Mercury line crosses Uranus around 51 to 54 N and 104-106W from New Mexico up thru Denver and onto Canada. Also a potent Mars line stretches from the Aleutians (crossing Uranus for some shaking) to just east of Hawaii (crossing the Chiron-N Node-Neptune line) to emerge just off the southeast coast of Africa before jutting up through the Middle East and out through Siberia. All these areas are subject to unusual storms and seismic fractures.
My feeling is the most potent of the three Super Moon's will be July 2nd with Cardinal Cancer @ 12 degrees. The July event will have Sun-Moon-Venus-Ceres all applying to an opposition with Jupiter now @ 18 Capricorn.
Mutable Means Change
This New Moon features a prominent alignment of Venus-Sun-Moon all closer together at about 14 Gemini with the Sabian Symbol: "two people living apart in telepathic communication." A time when psychic flashes and intuition may prover more reliable then traditional communications networks. When we bring in Mercury @ 19 Gemini now retrograde and still in orb of a square with Uranus to keep causing more disruptions and weird erratic changes with psychics world wide buzzing about coming natural disasters. Yet despite all the possible tectonic or extreme weather changes, the real story is that Mars in heartfelt Leo is bringing us lots of courage to change our minds and open up to compassion. Now that Ceres in Gemini is moving quickly towards an opposition to Pluto on the Full Moon, there will be lots of letting go.
A great realignment
A great realignment involving communication, transportation, local communities, and a resurgent inner spirituality began last May 26th. At this time Mercury moved retrograde less then an hour before Neptune stationed. In Greek myth, Hermes was the messenger, the trickster, associated with merchants, thieves and patron of roads and boundaries. He rules the two signs, Gemini and Virgo. For full integration, Gemini needs to move from the specific to the general and Virgo from the concrete fact to the larger picture. Hermes was a traveler in all three worlds from the higher realms of the Gods to the earthly denizens of us humans to the guide who guaranteed souls safe passage in the underworld. We may all meet Hermes in some form or another during this Gemini period.
Uncontrollable Forces Within and Without
This is a month when it's necessary to have the two phases of personality on speaking terms and in harmony. As powerful as the fixed signs were in May, the volatility of the mutable energies will be a rival. The effect of the mutable, or common signs, grappling with the uncontrollable forces of outer planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in June will be extreme. The chart above set for San Jose and the West Coast has N Node-Chiron-Neptune all together in the 6th house of health, service and labor. We should expect news about certain persistent health issues or even a major advancement in the world of healing fatal diseases...Police, workers and strikes will all be prominent now as more people are starting to realize that they have to become their own volunteers in order to make a change.

Probably the greatest theological problem faced by New Thought is the question of the existence of evil. This same problem dogs orthodox Christianity, of course, but at least itcan fall back on the doctrine of original sin. That doctrine is rejected by New Thought, which teaches that we are all created perfectly, not just in the image of God but as manifestations of God - a part of creation which is eternal, wholly good and perfect. The existence of bad thinsgs in such a schema would seem to be a fundamental stumbling point. It was exactly this point that many of the early critics of Christian Science (most notably Mark Twain, to the consternation of his devoutly Christian Science daughter) harped on, and it continues to be the achilles heel of New Thought philosophy. If God is Good and good is our natural state of being, why do we witness so many bad things in our world?"Evil is man created," says Ernest Holmes in The Science of Mind (p. 499). He goes on to explain "God - the eternal goodness - knows nothing about it. He is too pure to behold evil and cannot look upon it. Evil is the direct and suppositional opposite to good, and has no reality behind it, or actual law to come to its support." This is the standard explanation, and is pretty much the same thing you'd hear from a Christian Scientist or, for that matter, a Swedenborgian. God is only goodness, so anything that we might interpret as evil is created by us, and is, in fact, an illusion. This seems an adequate response, but I always want to ask, "Yes but why? Why do we have to suffer these delusions? If God is Good and wants only happiness for us why has he allowed us to create these phantoms of unhappiness?" The response to this is that we have been afforded free will - that free will is, in fact, the one essential aspect of our being as humans, the thing with which God has gifted us. This is an idea which derives clearly from the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg. We are free to choose at any moment between good and evil. Interestingly, this same notion of free will is essential to most Buddhist thinking - that conditions, circumstances and karma are all very real, but equally real is that moment of volition when we can choose between a wise or a foolish action.It is interesting to note, as well, that in this passage Holmes seems to be anthropomorphising God, something strictly frowned upon in New Thought theology. This turn of phrase is undoubtedly reflexive, but it betrays an older way of thinking about God, creation and the problem of evil. God in this description is definitely a pure deity, one who knows only good, and cannot see imperfection. But to my mind it begs the question - because it is unseen, does it mean it doesn't exist? In the rest of his writing (and in New Thought in general) Holmes absolutely rejects a dualistic vision of the universe as divided between good and evil. The problem is always in human perception, in our own misunderstanding of circumstances. In an essay on The Impersonal Face of God, Holmes writes:"We are not dealing with a negative as well as a positive Power-not two powers but one; a power that sees neither good nor evil as we see it. It knows only that it is all, and since it is all, it creates whatever is given it. From our limited standpoint we often think of good and evil; not realizing that, as yet, we do not know the one from the other. What we call good today, we may call evil tomorrow, and what we think to be evil today, we may tomorrow proclaim as the greatest good we have known. Not so with the Great Universal Power of Mind; It sees only Itself and Its infinite ability to create."To further refine his explanation in The Science of Mind, Holmes goes on to make a distinction between God, which is all good, and Universal Law, which is objective and unchangeable. "The law is no respecter of persons and will bring good or evil to any, according to his use or misuse of it" (SOM, p. 500). So God is the source of all good, but his agency is the action of Universal Law. It is the duty of the human to work with these immutable laws and fall into harmony with them - thus bringing ourselves the promised perfection.So serious is this question of evil (and, probably, so recurrent were the questions surrounding it) that Holmes devotes a whole section of The Science of Mind to it. Here he underlines the notion of evil as an unwise use of life's laws and conditions. It is nothing in and of itself - it is a fiction. It is the word we use to describe a whole host of results, the causes of which are mysterious to us. Evil is a destructive meme, and the student of Religious Science can leave the concept behind forever. "To turn from evil and do good is the desire of every soul who is consecrated to the Truth; this we can do only as we cease talking about, believing in, or doing evil."

There was a lustrous full moon up there last night, and as it was the last full moon of 2012, Spencer and I were outside in our snow drowned garden watching for it to come into view. Yes, we were cold, darned cold in fact, but not being out there and looking up would have felt wrong somehow, and it would have run counter to our tradition. The moon of our watching was clear and white and great among the bare winter trees, and it was, in the words of my sister Caroline, a perfect pearly "ghost moon".
The thirteen moons of a calendar year wear many different names, faces and personalities according to one's culture, where one lives in the world and what the seasonal activities of one's native place are. There are common threads or themes to lunar lore though, and the moon's names provide food for thought about the nature of community, hearth and connection. The names in use among the diverse northern cultures of my own native place speak eloquently of timeless rhythms and the natural calendar of the seasons, of springtime and green things springing from the earth, of planting and sowing, of harvesting, hunting and gathering, of rest, hibernation and regeneration.
December's moon falls at a dark time of year in the north, and for me it will always be the Elder Moon or Long Nights Moon. It makes me happy to think that when January's full moon arrives, daylight hours will be stretching out again, and we will be on our way to Spring and warmth. Having said that, we will be making our slow and careful way through bitter cold, deep snow and high winds, and there is a long way to go. Now and then, there will be confetti skies at sunrise, and the dark vaults of heaven will be full of stars at night. Such celestial happenings make journeying through the Great Round a joyous undertaking, and in all the frenetic "toing and froing" of this holiday season, that is a fine thought to cling to.

Since this spring a power struggle has been going on in Iran between president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. As an "Islamic republic," the structure of Iran's government is such that the power of the elected president is substantially limited and much executive authority rests with the nation's spiritual leader, Khamenei. The split between the two seems surprising, given that Khamenei backed Ahmadinejad in the 2009 presidential election that was reputedly wrought with irregularities.
